이번 심의에는 관내 초·중·고등학교와 사립유치원 등 27개 교육기관을 대상으로 한 지원사업이 검토됐으며, 최종적으로 8개 사업이 선정돼 내년도 교육재정에 반영된다.

주요 지원 대상에는 △봉화인재양성원 운영 지원 △관내 고등학교 기숙사 운영 및 학생 식비 지원 △자율형 공립고 2.0 운영 지원 △특성화고 육성 사업 △초·중학교 방과후 학습 지원 등 학생 교육 기회 확대와 교육격차 해소를 위한 사업들이 포함됐다.

봉화군은 이번 보조금 지원 외에도 미래형 교육 기반 조성을 위한 다양한 교육정책을 이어가고 있다. 특히 지난해 봉화군이 교육부 ‘교육발전특구’ 시범지역으로 선정되면서, 지역 교육 역량 강화와 지속 가능한 교육환경 마련에 더욱 속도를 내고 있다.
