사업은 △공공행정 지원 등 역량활용형 △카페·급식사업 등 공동체형 △환경정비·돌봄 등 공익형 △민간 취업 연계형 등 4가지 유형으로 진행된다.

유형별 모집 인원은 △역량활용형 12,850명 △공동체형 2,306명 △공익형 28,937명 △취업지원형 1,081명이다.

특히 역량활용형 일자리가 올해보다 4,367명 늘어 51.5% 확대됐다. 시는 “신노년층의 경력과 전문 경험을 지역 공공 영역에서 활용할 필요성이 커졌다”고 설명했다.

이 사업 참여자(60세 이상)에게는 월 60시간 기준 63만4,000원(주휴수당 별도)이 지급된다.

공익형 사업은 65세 이상 기초연금 수급자와 일정 기준 이하 직역연금 대상자가 참여할 수 있다. 월 30시간 활동 시 29만 원이 지급된다.

생계급여 수급자, 건강보험 직장가입자, 장기요양보험 등급 판정자 등은 참여가 제한된다. 참여를 원하는 시민은 신분증과 주민등록등본 등을 지참해 구·군 노인일자리 담당 부서 또는 수행기관을 방문해 신청하면 된다. 접수 기간은 기관별로 다르다.

대구시는 내년 1월부터 사업을 조기 착수할 예정이다. 시는 “겨울철 활동 시간 조정 등 안전 관리 규정을 적용할 것”이라고 밝혔다. 또 취·창업 연계를 강화하기 위해 시비 2억 원을 별도 편성했다.

김태운 시 보건복지국장은 “노인 일자리는 단순 소득 보전이 아니라 사회적 소속감과 삶의 활력을 주는 정책”이라며 “지역에서 활용할 수 있는 새로운 유형의 일자리를 계속 발굴하겠다”고 말했다.
