【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경상북도 직업계고가 올해도 졸업자 순취업률 전국 1위를 기록했다. 

1일 경북교육청에 따르면, 교육부가 발표한 2025년 직업계고 졸업자 취업통계조사 결과 경북지역 최종 순취업률은 38.4%로 집계돼 전국 평균(25.6%)을 크게 웃돌았다. 

이번 성과로 경북 직업계고는 2020년 취업통계 조사 이후 6년 연속 전국 최고 순취업률을 이어가게 됐다.

졸업자 진학률은 31.6%로 나타났다. 전국 평균 진학률(49.2%)에 비해 낮은 수치다. 

경북교육청은 이에 대해 "취업 중심 기능인 양성이라는 교육 방향이 잘 반영된 결과"라며, 경북 지역 학생들이 졸업과 동시에 곧바로 산업 현장에 진출할 실무 능력을 갖췄음을 의미한다고 설명했다.

이번 성과의 배경에는 다양한 맞춤형 정책이 있었다. 경북교육청은 신산업·신기술 분야 수요에 맞춘 직업계고 재구조화, 10차 산업 교육과정 운영을 통한 미래 대응 역량 강화, 지역특색사업인 도제사업 기반 맞춤 취업교육, 직업계고 혁신지구사업 등 지자체 협력을 통한 교육모델 마련 등을 주요 성과 요인으로 꼽았다. 또, 실제 학생들이 국가기술자격 취득과 각종 기능경기대회에서 두각을 나타내며 직업 능력을 입증하고 있다.

임종식 경북교육감은 “6년 연속 순취업률 1위는 산업 현장 수요에 맞춘 일자리 발굴, 체계적인 취업역량 강화 프로그램, 교사와 학생, 학부모, 지역사회가 함께 이뤄낸 결실”이라며, “앞으로도 경북 직업계고를 지역 전략산업 기반 인재 양성의 중심으로 키우고, 세계 직업교육의 표준 모델로 성장시키겠다”고 밝혔다.

Gyeongsangbuk-do vocational high schools once again achieved the highest net employment rate among graduates nationwide this year.

The Gyeongbuk Office of Education cited the following as key success factors: restructuring vocational high schools to meet the demands of emerging industries and technologies, strengthening future-readiness capabilities through the operation of the 10th Industrial Education Curriculum, tailored job training based on the regional apprenticeship program, and establishing an educational model through collaboration with local governments, including the Vocational High School Innovation District Project. Furthermore, students are demonstrating their vocational skills by obtaining national technical qualifications and excelling in various skills competitions.

Gyeongbuk Superintendent of Education Lim Jong-sik stated, "The top net employment rate for six consecutive years is the result of job creation tailored to industrial needs, systematic employment capacity building programs, and the collaborative efforts of teachers, students, parents, and the local community." He added, "We will continue to foster Gyeongbuk Vocational High School as a hub for nurturing talent in strategic regional industries and develop it into a global model for vocational education."
