【브레이크뉴스 구미】이성현 기자=국립금오공과대학교(총장 직무대리 김종복)가 ㈜삼성전자 ESG&스마트공장 지원센터(센터장 이광렬)와 업무협약을 체결했다고 12월 1일 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 중소·중견기업의 스마트공장 역량을 강화하고, AI 기반 스마트공장 구축을 지원하기 위해 추진됐다. 양 기관은 협약을 통해 지식과 인프라를 공유하고, 4차 산업혁명 시대에 필요한 스마트 제조 혁신 인재 양성에 협력하기로 했다.

주요 협력 내용은 △스마트팩토리 아카데미 과정 운영을 위한 물적·인적 인프라 활용 △AI 전문 강사진을 통한 AI 특화 교육과정 운영 △실습 중심의 고도화된 교육 콘텐츠 제공 및 커리큘럼 개선 △스마트팩토리 테스트베드를 활용한 장비 운영 및 유지보수 협력 등이다.

이광렬 삼성전자 ESG&스마트공장 지원센터장은 “이번 협약은 중소·중견기업의 디지털 전환을 가속화하는 중요한 발판이 될 것”이라며 “실습 중심 AI 및 스마트 제조 교육을 통해 현장 투입이 가능한 핵심 인재 배출에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

이종환 금오공대 스마트그린제조혁신사업단장은 “양 기관의 강점을 결합해 더욱 고도화된 교육 콘텐츠와 테스트베드 활용 기회를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”며 “투명하고 공정한 협력을 통해 스마트 제조혁신 생태계 조성에 기여하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Kumoh National Institute of Technology (Acting President Kim Jong-bok) announced on December 1st that it signed a business agreement with the Samsung Electronics ESG & Smart Factory Support Center (Director Lee Kwang-ryeol).

This agreement aims to strengthen the smart factory capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and support the establishment of AI-based smart factories. Through the agreement, the two organizations agreed to share knowledge and infrastructure and collaborate on fostering innovative smart manufacturing talent needed for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Key areas of collaboration include: 1) utilizing physical and human infrastructure for the Smart Factory Academy program; 2) operating AI-specific curricula led by AI experts; 3) providing advanced, hands-on training content and curriculum improvements; and 4) cooperating on equipment operation and maintenance using the Smart Factory Testbed.

Lee Kwang-ryeol, Director of the Samsung Electronics ESG & Smart Factory Support Center, said, "This agreement will serve as a crucial stepping stone to accelerate the digital transformation of SMEs." He added, "We will do our best to cultivate key talent capable of field deployment through hands-on AI and smart manufacturing training."
