【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구대학교 글로벌브릿지 영재교육원(원장 이미순)이 지난 11월 29일 경산캠퍼스 인문대학 강당에서 2025학년도 성과보고회와 수료식을 진행했다.

이번 수료식에서는 지난 3월부터 약 120시간의 교육과정을 성실히 이수한 94명의 학생이 수료증을 받았다. 과정별 수료 인원은 ▲정보영재 28명 ▲융합영재 41명 ▲외국어영재 25명으로, 특히 곽민기(무학고 2학년) 학생은 우수한 성적과 모범적 학습 태도로 대구대 총장상(최우수상)을 수상했다.

성과보고회에서는 학생들이 1년간 수행한 탐구 프로젝트를 전시하고, 학부모와 교사, 동료 학생 앞에서 발표하는 시간을 가졌다. 융합·정보 과정 학생들은 팀별 및 개인별 프로젝트를 선보였으며, 외국어 과정 학생들은 영어와 중국어 스피치를 통해 성장한 언어 능력을 보여주었다.

또한 유준혁 대구대 SW중심대학사업단장이 ‘꿈꾸는 AI: 인문학적 상상력과 인공지능’을 주제로 특강을 진행하며, AI 시대에 필요한 핵심 역량을 강조했다.

올해 영재교육원은 다양한 성과를 거뒀다. 융합영재교육원 학생들은 탐구논문집(vol. 9)을 발간하고, 대학 캡스톤디자인 경진대회 출전을 위해 교수진 멘토링을 받고 있다. 특히 고등학교 융합 3과정 학생들은 11월 15일 대한사고개발학회 학술대회에서 빅데이터·알고리즘·인공지능 관련 연구를 발표했다.

정보영재교육원 학생들은 C언어와 파이썬(Python)을 학습하며 실생활 문제 해결 프로젝트를 수행하고 정보 탐구논문집(vol. 5)을 발간했다. 또한 ‘AI 기반 학습 지원 프로그램’과 ‘스포츠 부상 가이드 앱’ 등 혁신적 연구도 캡스톤디자인 경진대회를 준비 중이다.

외국어영재교육원 학생들은 영어·중국어·한국어 작문 활동을 기반으로 창의적 작품집(vol. 6)을 발간하며 언어적 역량을 강화했다.

이미순 원장은 “앞으로 융합·정보 역량 강화 교육, 지역 연계 공동교육과정, 외국어 민감성 교육을 확대하고, 수료생 진로·진학 현황을 지속 관리해 성공 사례를 지역 캠프와 멘토링 프로그램과 연계하겠다”고 밝혔다.

대구대 글로벌브릿지 영재교육원은 2014년 정보영재교육원을 시작으로 서울대, KAIST, 포스텍, DGIST 등 국내 유수 대학과 과학고·국제고·외고에 다수의 수료생을 배출하며 지역 영재교육 선도 기관으로 자리매김하고 있다.

Daegu University Global Bridge Gifted Education Center Holds 2025 Academic Year Performance Report and Graduation Ceremony

Daegu University Global Bridge Gifted Education Center (Director Lee Mi-soon) held its 2025 Academic Year Performance Report and Graduation Ceremony on November 29th in the Humanities College auditorium on the Gyeongsan Campus.

At the graduation ceremony, 94 students who diligently completed approximately 120 hours of training since March received certificates of completion. The number of graduates by program was 28 in the Information Gifted Program, 41 in the Convergence Gifted Program, and 25 in the Foreign Language Gifted Program. Kwak Min-gi (Muhak High School sophomore) was awarded the Daegu University President's Award (Grand Prize) for his outstanding academic performance and exemplary learning attitude.

At the performance report, students showcased their research projects from the past year and presented them to parents, teachers, and fellow students. Students in the Convergence and Information programs presented team and individual projects, while students in the Foreign Language program demonstrated their evolving language skills through speeches in English and Chinese.

Furthermore, Yoo Jun-hyeok, Director of the Daegu University Software-Centered University Project, delivered a special lecture titled "Dreaming AI: Humanistic Imagination and Artificial Intelligence," emphasizing the core competencies needed in the AI ​​era.

This year, the Gifted Education Center achieved numerous achievements. Students in the Convergence and Information Education Center published a collection of research papers (vol. 9) and are receiving mentoring from faculty members in preparation for the university Capstone Design Competition. Notably, students in the High School Convergence Program III presented research on big data, algorithms, and artificial intelligence at the Korean Thought Development Association conference on November 15th.

Students in the Information Gifted Education Center learned C and Python, conducted real-world problem-solving projects, and published a collection of information research papers (vol. 5). Furthermore, innovative research projects, such as an "AI-based learning support program" and a "sports injury guidance app," are being prepared for the Capstone Design Competition.

Students at the Foreign Language Gifted Education Center strengthened their linguistic skills by publishing a collection of creative essays (vol. 6) based on writing activities in English, Chinese, and Korean.

Director Lee Mi-soon stated, "Going forward, we will expand convergence and information capacity building education, regionally aligned joint curriculum, and foreign language sensitivity education. We will also continuously monitor the career and academic advancement status of our graduates and link their success stories to local camps and mentoring programs."

Since its inception in 2014, the Daegu University Global Bridge Gifted Education Center has established itself as a leading regional gifted education institution, with numerous graduates entering prestigious domestic universities such as Seoul National University, KAIST, POSTECH, and DGIST, as well as science high schools, international high schools, and foreign language high schools.
