【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구 아동과 청소년들로 구성된 ‘꿈의 무용단 대구북구’가 창단 후 첫 선을 보인 무대가 성황리에 마무리됐다. 무용단은 지난 11월 29일 어울아트센터 함지홀에서 첫 창단공연 <Train No.3>을 선보이며 관객들의 열띤 박수갈채를 받았다.

‘꿈의 무용단 대구북구’는 행복북구문화재단과 문화체육관광부, 한국문화예술교육진흥원이 올해 5월 창단한 지역 기반 아동·청소년 문화예술교육 프로그램이다. 35명의 단원들은 약 6개월간 실용무용을 배우며 자신만의 표현법을 찾고, 협력 과정 속에서 예술적 성장과 창작 경험을 쌓았다.

무대에 오른 <Train No.3>는 도시철도 3호선을 모티브로 삼아 팔거역, 칠곡운암역, 매천시장역 등 지역의 주요 지점을 각 장면의 테마로 풀어냈다. 무용단은 스트릿댄스를 통해 각기 다른 분위기를 연출하고, 북구의 일상 풍경과 기억을 예술적으로 해석해 관객들의 공감을 이끌어냈다. 단원들은 자신감 넘치는 춤과 풍부한 감정 표현으로 무대를 가득 채웠다.

권혜영 예술감독은 “아이들이 북구라는 자신들의 터전을 춤으로 완벽하게 펼쳐내 감동했다”며 “내년에는 대구 전역으로 무대를 넓혀 더 큰 경험을 할 수 있도록 준비할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

박정숙 행복북구문화재단 대표이사는 “짧은 준비기간에도 불구하고 단원들이 보여준 성장에 큰 의미가 있다”며 “이번 공연이 어린이들과 청소년들에게 예술의 즐거움과 성취감을 남기는 기회가 되길 바란다”고 전했다. 이어 “앞으로도 다양한 시도를 통해 지역 아동·청소년 문화예술교육을 지속적으로 이어가겠다”고 덧붙였다.

The "Dream Dance Company Daegu Buk-gu," comprised of children and youth from Daegu's Buk-gu district, successfully concluded its first performance since its founding. The company presented its inaugural performance, "Train No. 3," at the Hamji Hall of the Daegu Arts Center on November 29th, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience.

"Dream Dance Company Daegu Buk-gu," a community-based children and youth arts education program, was launched in May of this year by the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service. The 35 members spent approximately six months learning practical dance, discovering their own unique styles of expression and gaining artistic growth and creative experience through collaborative efforts.

"Train No. 3," which was performed on stage, was inspired by the subway line 3, with each scene depicting key local landmarks, such as Palgeo Station, Chilgok Unam Station, and Maecheon Market Station, as themes. The dance troupe created different atmospheres through street dance and artistically interpreted everyday scenes and memories of Buk-gu, drawing empathy from the audience. The troupe filled the stage with confident dance and rich emotional expression.

Artistic Director Kwon Hye-young said, "I was deeply moved by the children's perfect expression of their hometown of Buk-gu through dance. Next year, we plan to expand the performance to all of Daegu for an even greater experience."

Park Jeong-sook, CEO of the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation, said, "Despite the short preparation period, the growth the troupe demonstrated is truly meaningful. I hope this performance will provide children and youth with the joy and fulfillment of art." She added, "We will continue to pursue diverse initiatives to support cultural and artistic education for local children and youth."
