【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포항상공회의소와 iM뱅크가 2일 포스코 국제관에서 ‘AI 에이전트 시대, 경제의 주인이 바뀐다’를 주제로 제26회 포항CEO포럼을 개최했다.

 포럼에는 나주영 포항상공회의소 회장, 황병우 iM뱅크 은행장, 김일만 포항시의회 의장, 남택정 한국은행 포항본부장 등 지역 기관장과 기업인 180여 명이 참석했다.

강연자로 나선 강정수 블루닷AI연구센터장은 생성형 AI와 AI 에이전트 기술의 발전 흐름을 설명하며 “AI는 단순한 도구를 넘어 경제 구조와 산업 생태계 전반을 재편하는 주체로 부상하고 있다”고 전망했다. 이어 산업별 적용 사례와 기업 대응 전략을 제시하며 “AI 기술과 전통 산업의 융합이 향후 기업 경쟁력을 좌우할 것”이라고 강조했다.

나주영 회장은 환영사에서 “기술 변화의 속도가 빨라지는 상황에서 지역 기업들이 변화를 기회로 활용할 수 있도록 전략적 대응이 필요하다”며 “이번 포럼이 지역 산업의 미래 경쟁력 확보에 기여하길 바란다”고 말했다.

황병우 은행장도 “AI 기술은 기업 체질 개선과 지역 경제 경쟁력 확보의 핵심 요소”라며 “iM뱅크가 지역 기업의 디지털 전환과 혁신을 지원하는 금융 플랫폼 역할을 강화하겠다”고 밝혔다.

2005년 시작된 포항CEO포럼은 포항상공회의소와 iM뱅크가 공동 운영하는 지역 대표 지식포럼으로, 경제·산업·기술 분야 전문가 초청 강연을 통해 지역 기업들의 정보 교류와 역량 강화를 지원해오고 있다. 주최 측은 앞으로도 지역 경제 활성화와 기업 성장에 기여할 프로그램을 지속적으로 마련할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

Pohang CEO Forum Held: "AI Era, Economic Power Shift"

The Pohang Chamber of Commerce and Industry and iM Bank held the 26th Pohang CEO Forum on the 2nd at the POSCO International Hall under the theme, "The Era of AI Agents, the Ownership of the Economy Shifts."

The forum was attended by approximately 180 local government officials and businesspeople, including Pohang Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Na Ju-young, iM Bank President Hwang Byung-woo, Pohang City Council Chairman Kim Il-man, and Bank of Korea Pohang Branch Director Nam Taek-jeong.

Kang Jeong-soo, Director of the Blue Dot AI Research Center, presented the development of generative AI and AI agent technology and predicted, "AI is emerging as a force that is reshaping the economic structure and industrial ecosystem beyond mere tools." He then presented industry-specific application cases and corporate response strategies, emphasizing, "The convergence of AI technology and traditional industries will determine future corporate competitiveness."

In his welcoming address, Chairman Na Ju-young stated, "With the accelerating pace of technological change, a strategic response is necessary to enable local businesses to capitalize on these changes as opportunities." He added, "I hope this forum will contribute to securing the future competitiveness of local industries."

CEO Hwang Byung-woo also stated, "AI technology is a key element in improving corporate structure and securing regional economic competitiveness." He added, "iM Bank will strengthen its role as a financial platform supporting local businesses' digital transformation and innovation."

Launched in 2005, the Pohang CEO Forum, a representative regional knowledge forum jointly operated by the Pohang Chamber of Commerce and Industry and iM Bank, supports information exchange and capacity building among local businesses through lectures by experts in economics, industry, and technology. The organizers announced plans to continue developing programs that contribute to the revitalization of the local economy and corporate growth.
