브레이크뉴스 박동제 기자= 소속사 OA엔터테인먼트(ODDATELIER)는 “‘글로벌 아티스트’ 그룹 블랙핑크 멤버 겸 솔로가수 제니(JENNIE)가 첫 번째 솔로 정규 앨범 ‘Ruby’로 계속해서 새 역사를 써내려가고 있다”고 전했다.

지난 1일(현지시간) 미국 레코드산업협회(Recording Industry Association of America, 이하 RIAA)는 공식 홈페이지를 통해 제니의 첫 번째 솔로 정규 앨범 ‘Ruby’(루비) 수록곡이자 선공개곡 ‘ExtraL (feat. Doechii)’(엑스트라엘)이 골드 인증을 획득했다고 밝혔다.

이로써 제니는 RIAA에서 통산 4곡을 인증받으며 K팝 솔로 아티스트 중 최다 RIAA 인증 기록을 다시 썼다. 

제니는 앞서 더 위켄드·릴리 로즈 뎁과의 협업곡 ‘One Of The Girls’로 플래티넘 인증을 받았고, ‘Mantra’(만트라)와 ‘Like JENNIE’(라이크 제니)가 골드 인증을 획득했다.

특히 제니는 첫 정규 앨범 ‘Ruby’에 수록된 3곡을 RIAA 인증 받으며 K팝 역사에 새로운 이정표를 세웠다.

RIAA는 디지털 싱글과 앨범 판매량에 따라 골드(50만 유닛 이상), 플래티넘(100만 유닛 이상), 멀티 플래티넘(200만 유닛 이상), 다이아몬드(1000만 유닛 이상)로 인증을 부여한다.

한편, 블랙핑크(BLACKPINK / 지수, 제니, 로제, 리사)는 지난 7월 K팝 걸그룹 최초의 고양종합운동장 공연을 시작으로, 16개 도시 33회차 규모의 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR <DEADLINE>'을 이어가고 있다. 북미와 유럽 공연을 성공적으로 마쳤으며 최근에는 아시아로 향해 팬들과 교감 중이다.
