【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 ICT산업계가 최근 ‘미래 대구 AX(인공지능 대전환) 정책 포럼’에서 지역 기반 산업혁신 방향과 정책 연계 전략을 논의했다.

(사)대경ICT산업협회(회장 최종태)는 지난달 27일 대구디지털혁신진흥원(DIP)에서 포럼 3차 회의를 열고, 산·학·연·정 관계자 및 기업 대표 30여 명과 함께 지역 AX 기반 혁신 생태계 조성 방안을 모색했다. 

이 자리에는 더불어민주당 대구시당 허소 위원장을 비롯해 한국IT여성기업인협회 영남지회, 대경로봇기업진흥협회, 경북대학교, ETRI, DGIST, 대구시 의사회 등 다양한 기관들이 참석했다.

포럼에서는 지역 AX 사업의 추진 과정과 세부 항목을 공유하고, ICT산업 중심의 산업 육성 전략이 집중적으로 논의됐다.

첫 세션에서 임정택 DIP 본부장은 지역거점 AX 혁신기술 개발 사업의 전체 추진 체계와 현재까지의 성과를 소개했다. 참석자들은 사업의 목표와 추진 방식, 기관별 역할을 점검하며 효과적인 협력모델을 함께 모색했다.

이어 경북대 김현덕 교수는 인공지능 기반 바이오·헬스 분야 혁신기술 개발 현황을 발표, 각 세부 과제가 실제 산업 및 의료 현장에 적용될 수 있는 방안을 제시했다.

다음 세션에서는 DGIST 박경서 교수가 로보틱스 표준모델 구축의 중요성을 강조했다. 박 교수는 “로봇 기술이 개별 시스템 위주로 발전하면서 상호 연계와 확장에 한계가 있었다”며, “공통으로 활용할 수 있는 표준모델 개발이 산업 안정성과 효율성을 높이는 핵심”이라고 말했다. 특히 로봇의 물리적 운용에서 발생할 수 있는 안전 리스크에 대비한 표준화된 안전장치 마련이 시급하다고 덧붙였다.

주제 발표 후에는 AX 기반 산업 전환 전략, 정책·산업의 연계, 산·학·연·정 협력 구조 강화를 위한 다양한 논의가 오갔다. 참석자들은 정기적인 의견 수렴과 정보 교류를 통해 이 포럼을 지역 AX 논의의 공식 창구로 운영하자고 입을 모았다.

최종태 대경ICT산업협회 회장은 “AX 혁신기술 개발 사업은 단순 연구개발에 그치지 않고, 지역 산업의 실제 기술혁신과 비즈니스 모델 확장까지 이끌어야 한다”며 “산·학·연·정이 긴밀히 협력해 지역주도 혁신 R&D 모델을 함께 만들자”고 강조했다.

허소 더불어민주당 대구시당 위원장 역시 “대구만의 강점을 살린 경제정책과 필요한 예산 확보를 위해 중앙정부와 적극 협력하겠다”며 “미래 대구 발전을 위한 정책 지원도 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Daegu ICT industry recently discussed regional industrial innovation directions and policy linkage strategies at the "Future Daegu AX (Artificial Intelligence Transformation) Policy Forum."

The Daegu ICT Industry Association (Chairman Choi Jong-tae) held its third forum meeting at the Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Agency (DIP) on the 27th of last month. Around 30 representatives from industry, academia, research, government, and business circles discussed ways to foster a regional AX-based innovation ecosystem.

The forum was attended by various organizations, including Heo So, Chairwoman of the Daegu City Chapter of the Democratic Party of Korea, the Yeongnam Chapter of the Korea Women in IT Entrepreneurs Association, the Daegyeong Robot Enterprise Promotion Association, Kyungpook National University, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), DGIST, and the Daegu Medical Association.

The forum shared the progress and details of the regional AX project and focused on ICT-centered industrial development strategies.

In the first session, Lim Jeong-taek, Director of the DIP Headquarters, introduced the overall implementation system and achievements to date of the regional AX innovative technology development project. Participants reviewed the project's goals, implementation methods, and the roles of each organization, and explored effective collaboration models.

Following this, Professor Kim Hyun-deok of Kyungpook National University presented the current status of AI-based innovative technology development in the bio-health sector and proposed ways for each project to be applied to actual industrial and medical settings.

In the next session, Professor Park Kyung-seo of DGIST emphasized the importance of establishing a standard robotics model. Professor Park stated, "As robotics technology has developed primarily through individual systems, interconnectivity and expansion have been limited." He added, "Developing a universally usable standard model is key to enhancing industrial stability and efficiency." He added that it is particularly urgent to establish standardized safety measures to address safety risks that may arise during the physical operation of robots.

Following the presentations, various discussions took place regarding AX-based industrial transition strategies, policy-industry alignment, and strengthening the cooperative structure among industry, academia, research, and government. Participants agreed to operate this forum as an official forum for regional AX discussions through regular feedback gathering and information exchange.

Choi Jong-tae, Chairman of the Daegu ICT Industry Association, emphasized, "The AX Innovation Technology Development Project must go beyond simple R&D and lead to actual technological innovation and business model expansion in local industries." He added, "Let's closely collaborate among industry, academia, research, and government to create a regionally driven innovation R&D model."

Heo So, Chairman of the Daegu City Chapter of the Democratic Party of Korea, also stated, "We will actively cooperate with the central government to secure the necessary budget and implement economic policies that leverage Daegu's unique strengths. We will also spare no effort in supporting policies for Daegu's future development."
