【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경상북도교육청이 1일부터 내년 2월 27일까지 약 3개월간 도내 저소득층 학생을 대상으로 한 ‘2025학년도 교육급여 바우처’ 방문 신청 접수를 운영한다.

이번 현장 신청은 온라인으로 신청하기 어려운 고령층, 다문화가정, 시설 거주 학생 등 취약계층을 배려해 마련된 조치다. 

경북교육청에 따르면 2025학년도 교육급여 지급 대상자의 95.7%는 이미 바우처 신청을 마쳤으나, 일부 학생들은 온라인 시스템 이용에 어려움을 겪는 것으로 확인돼, 이를 위해 현장 방문을 통한 신청 기회가 추가 제공된다.

신청은 도내 22개 교육지원청과 본청에서 가능하며, 주소지와 상관없이 가까운 기관을 찾아가 접수할 수 있다. 다만 신청 기간과 운영 시간은 각 접수처별로 다를 수 있어 사전 확인이 필요하다.

교육급여 바우처는 카드포인트 형태의 이용권으로 연 1회 제공되며, 청소년 출입이 제한된 업종이나 유흥·사행 관련 업종 등 일부 항목을 제외한 다양한 교육활동에 사용할 수 있다. 지원금은 신청인 명의의 신용·체크카드 또는 간편결제 서비스에 충전되는 방식이다.

바우처 지원 금액은 초등학생 48만7천 원, 중학생 67만9천 원, 고등학생 76만8천 원으로 책정됐다. 올해 2월 말까지 신청을 받고, 3월 말까지 이용이 가능하다.

임종식 경북교육감은 “교육급여 바우처는 저소득층 학생들의 교육 기회 격차를 줄이는 뜻깊은 제도”라며 “온라인으로 신청이 어려운 학생들에게도 꼼꼼히 안내해 빠짐없이 지원될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”고 밝혔다.
