【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대한민국시장군수구청장협의회(대표회장 조재구 대구 남구청장)와 재단법인 돌봄과미래가 4일, 통합돌봄 제도의 안착과 지역 격차 해소를 위해 손을 맞잡았다.

양측은 2026년 3월 시행 예정인 ‘돌봄통합지원법’을 앞두고, 기초지방정부가 돌봄 행정의 주체로서 안정적으로 통합돌봄을 추진할 수 있도록 지원 기반을 만드는 데 힘을 모으기로 했다. 현재 전국 229개 지자체가 관련 시범사업을 진행하고 있다.

협약에는 통합돌봄 관련 법·제도 개선, 지자체 공무원 교육 및 연수 지원, 지역 특화 돌봄모델 개발, 정책 대안 제시, 통합돌봄 사업 자문과 우수사례 포상 등 다양한 협력 방안이 포함됐다.

협의회는 돌봄과미래가 보유한 연구 인프라와 인력 자원을 적극적으로 활용해 법령 보완, 공무원 교육, 현장 컨설팅 등 실질적인 사업을 추진할 계획이다. 또 지역별 특성에 맞는 돌봄체계 구축도 지원한다.

조재구 대표회장은 “이번 협약은 지방정부가 주도하는 돌봄국가로 가는 중요한 출발점”이라며 “지역이 중심이 되어, 시민이 원래 살던 곳에서 존엄하게 살아갈 수 있는 통합돌봄 체계 실현에 앞장서겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Korea Mayors and County Mayors Association (Chairman Cho Jae-gu, Mayor of Nam-gu, Daegu) and the Care and Future Foundation joined hands on the 4th to establish an integrated care system and bridge regional disparities.

The Council plans to actively leverage Care and Future's research infrastructure and human resources to pursue practical projects, including legal revisions, civil servant training, and on-site consulting. The Council will also support the establishment of care systems tailored to regional characteristics.

Chairman Cho Jae-gu said, “This agreement is an important starting point toward becoming a local government-led care nation,” and added, “We will take the lead in realizing an integrated care system where regions take the lead and citizens can live with dignity in their original homes.”
