【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구광역시는 9일 한국자산관리공사(캠코)와 대구사회적경제지원센터에서 ‘금융취약계층 업(業)그레이드 지원사업 성과공유회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이 사업은 캠코의 사회공헌 사업의 일환으로, 경기침체와 고물가 등으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 지역 내 금융 취약계층에게 직무교육과 일경험을 제공함으로써 경제적 자립을 돕는 프로그램이다.

지난 8월 대구시와 캠코의 업무협약을 통해 시작된 이 사업은 11월까지 3개월간 진행됐으며, 50여 명의 지역 취약계층이 참여했다. 이들의 직무교육 및 일경험을 지원하기 위해 지역 사회적경제기업 19곳이 함께했다.

참여자들은 자신이 희망하는 직무에 맞춰 40시간 이상의 교육과정과 현장 실습을 이수했으며, 이를 통해 직무 역량을 강화하고 사회적경제기업이 창출하는 사회적 가치를 경험했다.

이번 사업은 특히 장기간 미취업 상태였거나 경력단절 후 재도전을 희망하는 청년들에게 인기를 끌었다. 현장 경험을 통해 직무에 대한 자신감을 회복하고 역량을 강화하는 기회가 되어 만족도가 매우 높았다.

참여자들은 카페 운영, 장애인 돌봄 보조, 문화·콘텐츠 행사 운영, 업사이클링 상품 기획, 반려동물 돌봄 및 디지털마케팅, 전통 디저트 제조 등 다양한 분야에서 실무 경험을 쌓았다.

또한, 바리스타, 시니어 여가활동 지도사, 노인체육건강지도사, 조향사 등의 전문 자격취득 과정을 통해 적성을 탐색하고, 일부는 프로그램 종료 후 관련 업종으로 취업하는 성과를 거두기도 했다.

사업에 참여한 사회적경제기업 관계자는 “참여자들이 현장에서 직무 역량을 강화하며 업무 이해도가 크게 향상됐다”며, “사업 종료 후에도 취업 공백이 발생하지 않도록 ‘후속 일경험-교육-취업’이 이어지는 선순환 체계 구축이 필요하다”고 강조했다.

행사에 참여한 한 수혜자는 “현장에서 직접 일해보며 다시 일자리에 도전할 용기를 얻었다”고 소감을 전했다.

박기환 대구광역시 경제국장은 “이번 사업은 지역 내 금융취약계층의 자립 지원은 물론, 사회적경제 활성화에도 큰 보탬이 됐다”며, “앞으로도 사회적경제기업들이 지역사회에 긍정적인 변화를 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 다양한 협력사업을 발굴하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu City and KAMCO Announce Results of the Financially Underserved Upgrading Support Project

Participants completed over 40 hours of training and field training tailored to their desired positions, enhancing their job competencies and experiencing the social value created by social economy enterprises.

This program was particularly popular with young people who had been unemployed for long periods or who were seeking a new challenge after a career break. Satisfaction was high, as it provided an opportunity to regain confidence and strengthen their skills through hands-on experience.

Participants gained practical experience in a variety of fields, including running a café, assisting with care for people with disabilities, organizing cultural and content events, planning upcycled products, pet care and digital marketing, and making traditional desserts.

Furthermore, they explored their aptitudes through professional qualifications such as barista, senior leisure instructor, senior physical education instructor, and perfumer. Some even found employment in related industries after completing the program.

An official from a social enterprise that participated in the program stated, "The participants significantly improved their understanding of the job by strengthening their on-site skills." He emphasized, "To prevent employment gaps after the program ends, a virtuous cycle of 'follow-up work experience, training, and employment' is necessary."

One beneficiary commented, "Working in the field gave me the courage to pursue my next career."

Park Ki-hwan, Director of the Economic Bureau of Daegu Metropolitan City, said, “This project has not only helped the financially vulnerable in the region become more self-reliant, but has also greatly contributed to the revitalization of the social economy,” and added, “We will continue to explore various cooperative projects so that social economy enterprises can bring about positive changes in the local community.”
