이날 연탄 나눔에는 학생과 교직원으로 구성된 약 30명의 봉사단이 참여했다. 봉사단은 도움이 필요한 가정을 직접 방문해 집 앞까지 연탄을 옮기며 난방 부담을 겪는 어르신들을 도왔다. 이성용 계명대 학생·입학부총장은 “학생들과 함께한 연탄 나눔이 지역 주민들에게 작은 따뜻함이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

봉사 활동에는 외국인 유학생들도 동참했다. 베트남 출신 응오튀탐짬(국제통상학과 1학년) 학생은 “연탄 봉사는 처음이라 힘들었지만 보람이 더 컸다”며 “어르신들이 올겨울을 따뜻하게 보내셨으면 좋겠다”고 소감을 전했다. 김수호(환경공학과 1학년) 학생은 “연탄을 직접 나르며 어르신들의 고단함을 일부나마 이해하게 됐다”며 “작지만 도움이 될 수 있어 뜻깊었다”고 말했다.

연탄 배달 이후에는 두류동 행정복지센터에서 후원금 전달식이 열렸다. (사)계명1%사랑나누기는 달서구청에 연탄 나눔 성금 1천만 원을 기부하며 ‘달서 나눔 별 4호’에 등재됐다. ‘달서 나눔 별’은 10년 이상 꾸준한 기부를 이어온 지역 기부자에게 예우를 표하고자 달서구청이 올해부터 운영 중인 기부자 예우 프로그램이다.

The "Dalseo Sharing Star" program, launched by the Dalseo-gu Office this year, recognizes local donors who have consistently donated for more than 10 years.
