고령군은 경상북도가 실시한 ‘2025년 지역개발사업 추진실적 평가’에서 우수기관으로 최종 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

이번 평가는 도내 15개 시·군을 대상으로 발전지향적 기반시설 확충을 통해 도시 경쟁력을 높이고, 주민의 경제적 삶의 질 향상에 기여한 성과를 종합적으로 평가한 것이다. 고령군은 지역개발사업을 체계적으로 추진하며 지역 성장 기반을 마련한 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

특히 고령군은 2022년 지역수요맞춤지원사업으로 공모 선정된 ‘다산면 청년 복합귀농타운 조성사업’을 통해 도시기반시설 확충과 생활밀착형 지역개발사업을 병행 추진하며 일자리 창출과 지역경제 활성화를 이끌었다. 아울러 국토교통부 산하 공공기관인 한국토지주택공사(LH)와 협약을 체결해 예산 절감과 함께 완성도 높은 주택단지를 조성한 점도 주요 성과로 꼽혔다.

이와 함께 고령군은 농촌 취약지역 생활여건 개조사업인 이른바 ‘새뜰마을사업’을 통해 2016년부터 2026년까지 총 11개 지구가 공모에 선정됐으며, 총사업비 200억 원을 투입해 슬레이트 지붕과 재래식 화장실 개선, 노후 주택 정비 등 농촌 지역의 정주여건과 삶의 질 향상에 힘쓰고 있다.

고령군 관계자는 “앞으로도 지역개발사업과 각종 공모사업을 내실 있게 추진해 지역 균형 발전과 인구 유입 확대에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Furthermore, Goryeong County has selected 11 districts for the "Saetteul Village Project," a project to improve living conditions in vulnerable rural areas, from 2016 to 2026. A total of 20 billion won is being invested to improve living conditions and quality of life in rural areas, including slate roofs, traditional toilet improvements, and the renovation of aging housing.
