【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 남구가 식품의약품안전처가 주관한 ‘2025년 식중독 예방관리 평가’에서 전국 226개 기초자치단체 중 우수기관으로 뽑혀 기관 표창을 받았다. 대구시 구·군 가운데 남구가 유일하게 수상했다.

식약처는 이번 평가에서 연중 추진한 식중독 예방 정책과 대응 체계를 종합적으로 점검해 전국 18개 시·군·구를 우수기관으로 선정했다.

남구는 체계적인 예방 활동과 현장 대응 역량을 인정받았으며, 평가 기간 동안 식중독 발생이 한 건도 없었던 점이 높이 평가됐다.

남구는 식중독 비상대책반을 항상 가동하고, 위생이 취약한 시설을 대상으로 예방진단 컨설팅을 실시했다. 

이와 함께 유관기관과 합동으로 식중독 예방 모의훈련을 진행했으며, 발생 우려 시설에 대한 집중 관리와 시기별·대상별 맞춤형 예방 교육도 병행했다.

이 같은 선제적 관리로 실제 식중독 사고를 막아내며, 지역 내 식품 위생관리 역량을 입증했다는 평가다.

조재구 남구청장은 “구민의 건강을 지키기 위해 힘쓴 노력이 우수기관 선정이라는 의미 있는 결실로 이어져 기쁘다”며 “앞으로도 안전한 식생활 환경을 만들기 위해 식품 위생관리에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu's Nam-gu District was recognized as an outstanding institution among 226 local governments nationwide in the "2025 Food Poisoning Prevention and Management Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Nam-gu was the only district in Daegu to receive the award.

This proactive approach has prevented actual food poisoning incidents and proven the region's food hygiene management capabilities.
