【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 중구 지역자율방재단이 행정안전부가 주관한 ‘2025년 국가재난관리 유공’ 평가에서 단체 표창을 받았다.  

이번 평가는 전국 약 200개 지역자율방재단을 대상으로 진행됐으며, 대구 중구 방재단은 대구 지역에서 가장 높은 성적을 거둬 재난 대응 역량을 인정받았다.  

국가재난관리 유공 표창은 각 지역자율방재단의 운영과 활동 실적을 종합적으로 평가해 수여된다. 올해는 전국에서 13개의 단체와 47명의 개인이 수상자로 선정됐다.  

중구 지역자율방재단은 여름철 집중호우와 겨울철 대설 등 자연재난이 발생할 때마다 현장에서 신속하게 대응하고, 피해 복구 활동에도 적극적으로 나서왔다. 특히 사전 예찰을 통해 재난을 미리 예방하고, 재난 발생 시에는 주민 대피와 안전 확보에 앞장서 시민의 생명과 재산을 지키는 데 기여했다는 점이 좋은 평가로 이어졌다.  

이와 함께, 꾸준한 봉사 활동과 체계적인 단체 운영을 바탕으로 지역 재난 대응의 최일선 역할을 충실히 해온 점도 표창의 이유로 꼽혔다.  

김순열 중구 지역자율방재단장은 “이번 수상은 단원들이 한마음으로 봉사와 희생정신을 보여준 결과”라며 “앞으로도 지역 안전을 지키기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.  

류규하 중구청장도 “현장 최일선에서 헌신해 온 지역자율방재단 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다”며 “민·관이 협력해 시민 모두가 안심할 수 있는 안전한 중구를 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Jung-gu Autonomous Disaster Prevention Foundation has consistently responded promptly to natural disasters, such as torrential rains in the summer and heavy snowfalls in the winter, and has actively participated in recovery efforts. The foundation's strong performance in preventing disasters through advance warnings and in the event of a disaster, leading the way in evacuating residents and ensuring their safety, contributed to the organization's positive evaluation.

Furthermore, the award was given for their faithful role on the front lines of local disaster response, based on consistent volunteer work and systematic organization management.

Kim Soon-yeol, head of the Jung-gu Autonomous Disaster Prevention Foundation, emphasized, "This award is a testament to the united spirit of service and sacrifice demonstrated by our members. We will continue to do our best to ensure the safety of our region."

Jung-gu Mayor Ryu Gyu-ha also expressed his deep gratitude, saying, "I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the members of the Autonomous Disaster Prevention Foundation for their dedication on the front lines.
