【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=포스코DX가 멀티 대형언어모델(LLM)을 탑재한 기업용 생성형 인공지능(AI) 업무 플랫폼 ‘P-GPT(Private-GPT) 2.1’을 출시하며 기업 업무 혁신 가속화에 나섰다.

포스코DX는 기업 내 다양한 데이터와 지식자산, 업무시스템 등 IT 자원을 생성형 AI와 유기적으로 연결해 임직원들이 보다 쉽고 안전하게 활용할 수 있도록 지원하는 기업용 생성형 AI 서비스 플랫폼 ‘P-GPT 2.1’을 본격 제공한다고 밝혔다.

P-GPT는 기업 맞춤형 LLM을 기반으로 업종 특화 용어와 내부 데이터를 학습해, 기업이 사용하는 핵심 업무 시스템에 생성형 AI를 적용할 수 있도록 설계된 플랫폼이다. 임직원들은 채팅(Chat) 방식으로 업무 관련 질의를 하면 P-GPT가 기업 내·외부 데이터를 종합해 정확도 높은 답변을 제공한다. 특히 검색증강생성(RAG) 구조를 적용해 보안이 중요한 사내 환경에서도 데이터 외부 유출 없이 자체 인프라 내에서 안전하게 생성형 AI를 활용할 수 있는 것이 특징이다.

포스코그룹은 지난 2023년 9월 오픈AI의 챗GPT에 사내 지식정보를 결합한 ‘P-GPT 1.0’을 도입하며 그룹 차원의 업무 효율성 제고에 나섰다. 현재는 37개 그룹사, 약 2만 명의 임직원이 보고서 작성, 데이터 분석, 사내 지식 검색, 회의록 요약, 다국어 번역 등 다양한 사무 업무에 P-GPT를 활용하고 있다. 특히 임직원들이 직접 개발해 사용하는 AI 에이전트도 3,500개 이상 등록·운영되며 업무 혁신 플랫폼으로 자리매김했다.

이번에 출시된 P-GPT 2.1은 기존 챗GPT에 더해 구글의 제미나이(Gemini) 3와 앤트로픽의 클로드(Claude)를 추가로 탑재해 멀티 LLM 라인업을 완성했다. 이를 통해 고객은 업무 특성에 맞는 맞춤형 에이전틱 AI 서비스를 구현할 수 있으며, ‘나의 에이전트’ 생성 기능을 활용해 반복 업무를 자동화하고 생산성을 크게 높일 수 있다.

P-GPT 2.1은 사무 업무 효율성 향상에 최적화된 기능도 대폭 강화했다. MS 팀즈(Teams)의 일정과 메일, 원드라이브(OneDrive) 연동을 비롯해 사용자 질의 의도를 분석하는 에이전트 구조, 자동 프롬프트 개선 기능을 도입했다. 표준 양식에 맞춘 문서 초안을 AI가 자동으로 생성해 작업 시간을 절반 수준으로 줄일 수 있으며, CSV·엑셀 파일을 업로드하면 데이터 분석과 차트 생성까지 자동으로 지원해 신속한 의사결정을 돕는다. 또한 서비스 사용 토큰량 기반 과금 체계를 적용해 별도 구축 부담 없이 이용할 수 있도록 했다.

포스코DX는 오는 2026년 상반기 다국어 번역 기능을 고도화해 그룹사 해외법인을 중심으로 AI 사용자 경험을 확대하고, 하반기에는 제조 특화 AI 모델 구축을 위한 소형 LLM(sLLM) 추가와 그래프 데이터베이스(Graph DB) 기반 검색 기능을 강화한 ‘P-GPT 3.0’을 선보일 계획이다. 이를 통해 보다 정교한 정보 검색과 협업 환경을 제공하는 한편, 대외 기업과 공공기관으로 서비스 확산도 추진한다는 방침이다.

포스코DX 관계자는 “P-GPT는 단순한 AI 채팅 도구를 넘어 기업의 실질적인 업무 혁신을 이끄는 핵심 플랫폼으로 자리 잡았다”며 “앞으로도 최신 생성형 AI 기술을 신속히 반영해 그룹사와 대외 고객의 AI 경쟁력 강화를 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 포스코그룹은 디지털 전환(DX) 추진 속도를 높이기 위해 AI 이해와 활용을 기업 문화와 리더십의 핵심 요소로 삼고 있다. 그룹 임원 200여 명이 참여해 제작한 ‘리더십 매니페스토’에서는 AI를 ‘다가올 미래 기술이 아닌 이미 현재의 업무’로 규정하고, 임원이 AI 기술을 이해하고 직접 활용해 조직의 디지털 혁신 방향을 제시해야 한다는 점을 명확히 했다.

POSCO DX announced the official launch of "P-GPT 2.1," an enterprise generative AI service platform that organically connects diverse corporate data, knowledge assets, business systems, and other IT resources with generative AI, enabling employees to utilize the platform more easily and securely.

P-GPT is a platform designed to apply generative AI to core business systems used by companies by learning industry-specific terminology and internal data based on customized LLMs. Employees can ask work-related questions via chat, and P-GPT synthesizes internal and external data to provide highly accurate answers. In particular, the Augmented Search Generation (RAG) architecture allows for the secure use of generative AI within the company's own infrastructure, preventing data leakage even in security-critical internal environments.

In September 2023, POSCO Group introduced "P-GPT 1.0," which combines internal knowledge with OpenAI's ChatGPT, to enhance group-wide work efficiency. Currently, approximately 20,000 employees across 37 group companies are utilizing P-GPT for a variety of office tasks, including report writing, data analysis, internal knowledge retrieval, meeting minutes summarization, and multilingual translation. Furthermore, over 3,500 AI agents developed and used by employees are registered and operated, solidifying its position as a business innovation platform.

The recently released P-GPT 2.1 completes the multi-LLM lineup by incorporating Google's Gemini 3 and Antropic's Claude in addition to the existing ChatGPT. This allows customers to implement customized agentic AI services tailored to their business needs, and leverage the "My Agent" creation feature to automate repetitive tasks and significantly increase productivity.

P-GPT 2.1 also significantly enhances features optimized for improving office efficiency. These include integration with MS Teams calendars, email, and OneDrive, an agent structure that analyzes user query intent, and improved automatic prompting. AI automatically generates draft documents in standard formats, reducing work time by half. Uploading CSV and Excel files automatically supports data analysis and chart generation, facilitating faster decision-making. Furthermore, a token-based billing system eliminates the burden of separate implementation, allowing users to utilize the service without the burden of additional setup.

POSCO DX plans to enhance its multilingual translation capabilities in the first half of 2026 to expand the AI ​​user experience, focusing on overseas subsidiaries of the group. In the second half of the year, it will launch "P-GPT 3.0," which will add a small LLM (sLLM) for building manufacturing-specific AI models and enhance graph database (GDB)-based search capabilities. This will provide a more sophisticated information search and collaboration environment, while also expanding the service to external companies and public institutions.

A POSCO DX representative stated, "P-GPT has established itself as a core platform that drives practical business innovation for companies beyond a simple AI chat tool. We will continue to proactively support the strengthening of AI competitiveness for group companies and external customers by rapidly incorporating the latest generative AI technologies."

Meanwhile, POSCO Group is emphasizing the understanding and utilization of AI as a core element of its corporate culture and leadership to accelerate its digital transformation (DX) initiative. The "Leadership Manifesto," created with the participation of approximately 200 group executives, defines AI as "not a technology of the future, but a task that is already present," and makes it clear that executives must understand and directly utilize AI technology to suggest the direction of the organization's digital innovation.
