【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=달성군이 구지면 응암리 일원에 조성하는 ‘구지복합문화센터’ 설계공모 당선작을 확정했다. 

이번 공모에서는 5개 작품이 경쟁을 펼친 가운데, ㈜종합건축사사무소 창의 작품이 최종 선정됐다. 

군은 총사업비 344억 원을 들여 지하 1층, 지상 3층 연면적 5,502㎡ 규모의 복합문화시설을 2027년 착공해 2028년 준공할 계획이다.

구지복합문화센터는 구지면 응암리 1233번지에 들어선다. 센터에는 북카페, 문화교육실, 어린이 놀이·체험시설 등 다양한 세대와 연령이 이용할 수 있는 문화·여가 공간이 한자리에 모인다. 단순 공공청사를 넘어 생활권 중심의 문화 플랫폼을 목표로 삼고 있다.

당선작은 자연과 건축, 사람과 공간의 관계를 유기적으로 연결한 설계 콘셉트가 특징이다. 주민의 일상과 맞닿은 공간 구성, 명확한 동선, 효율적인 공간 배치로 이용자 편의성과 운영 효율성 부분에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

군은 이번 사업을 통해 문화시설이 부족했던 구지면의 문화 인프라 격차를 해소하고, 가족 단위 이용과 일상적인 문화 활동을 지원해 지역 공동체 활성화를 도모한다는 방침이다. 

또한, 문화교육과 체험 기능을 연계해 돌봄과 학습이 어우러지는 지역 거점 역할도 기대하고 있다.

최재훈 달성군수는 “설계 단계부터 공간의 공공성과 활용도를 꼼꼼히 따져 주민 삶의 질을 높이겠다”며 “완공 후에는 문화, 교육, 돌봄 기능이 유기적으로 작동하는 지역 거점이 될 수 있도록 운영 전략도 함께 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.

달성군은 당선작을 바탕으로 이달 중 기본 및 실시설계에 착수할 방침이다. 설계 과정에서 주민 의견을 적극 수렴하고, 운영계획도 함께 확정할 계획이다.

앞으로 인허가와 감리 등 절차를 거쳐 2027년 착공, 2028년 준공 및 운영을 목표로 사업을 추진한다.

Dalseong County has announced the winner of the design competition for the "Guji Multi-Cultural Center," to be built in Eungam-ri, Guji-myeon.

Through this project, the county aims to address the cultural infrastructure gap in Guji-myeon, which has lacked cultural facilities, and to revitalize the local community by supporting family use and everyday cultural activities.

Furthermore, by linking cultural education and experiential functions, the county anticipates it to serve as a regional hub where care and learning are seamlessly integrated.

Choi Jae-hoon, Mayor of Dalseong County, stated, "From the design stage, we will meticulously consider the public nature and usability of the space to enhance the quality of life for residents. After completion, we will also develop an operational strategy to ensure that it becomes a regional hub where cultural, educational, and care functions function organically."

Based on the winning design, Dalseong County plans to begin basic and detailed design this month. During the design process, the county plans to actively solicit feedback from residents and finalize an operational plan.

Following regulatory approvals and supervision, the project aims to begin construction in 2027, with completion and operation in 2028.
