【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단 태전도서관이 어린이들이 직접 기획하고 글과 그림을 완성한 그림책 10권을 선보이는 ‘별별 그림책 어린이 작가단 9기’ 작품 전시회를 연다. 이번 전시회는 오는 13일부터 30일까지 태전도서관 로비에서 열린다.

‘별별 그림책 어린이 작가단’은 태전도서관을 대표하는 어린이 창작 프로그램 중 하나다. 이번 전시는 어린이 작가들이 1년 가까이 프로그램에 참여하며 직접 만든 그림책과 그 제작 과정을 지역민들에게 공개하는 자리로 마련됐다.

‘모두 다 다른 별의별 그림책’이라는 의미를 담은 이 프로그램은 아이들이 그림책 기획부터 글쓰기, 그림 작업, 편집, 제작, 출판까지 전 과정을 주도적으로 경험하도록 구성됐다. 9기 프로그램은 지난해 4월 12일부터 12월 6일까지 매주 토요일, 총 35회에 걸쳐 운영됐다.

전시장에는 완성된 그림책 10권을 비롯해 아이들이 쓴 기획안과 스케치, 초안, 편집 및 제작 과정이 담긴 사진 등 창작 과정 전반이 함께 전시된다. 관람객들은 한 권의 그림책이 나오기까지 어린이들의 아이디어가 어떻게 발전했는지 한눈에 볼 수 있다.

태전도서관 관계자는 “아이들이 직접 만든 책을 도서관에서 전시함으로써 창작의 즐거움과 성취감을 지역 주민과 나누고 싶었다”며 “앞으로도 ‘별별 그림책 어린이 작가단’을 통해 아이들의 다양한 이야기가 책으로 탄생할 수 있도록 꾸준히 지원할 계획”이라고 전했다.

The Taejeon Library of the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation is hosting an exhibition of the "9th Byulbyul Picture Book Children's Writers Group," showcasing 10 picture books planned, written, and illustrated by children. The exhibition will be held in the Taejeon Library lobby from April 13th to the 30th.

The "Byulbyul Picture Book Children's Writers Group" is one of the library's signature children's creative writing programs. This exhibition showcases the picture books and the creative process created by the children's writers over nearly a year of participation in the program.

This program, embodying the concept of "all different, different picture books," is designed to allow children to actively participate in the entire process, from planning and writing to illustration, editing, production, and publishing. The 9th program ran for a total of 35 sessions, held every Saturday from April 12th to December 6th of last year.

The exhibition showcases the 10 completed picture books, as well as the entire creative process, including the children's proposals, sketches, drafts, and photos of the editing and production process. Visitors can see at a glance how children's ideas develop into a single picture book.

A representative from Taejeon Library stated, "By exhibiting children's books at the library, we wanted to share the joy and sense of accomplishment of creation with local residents." They added, "We plan to continue supporting the 'Various Picture Book Children's Writers Group' to help children's diverse stories become books."
