【브레이크뉴스 대구】이성현 기자=대구 달서구(구청장 이태훈)는 기후에너지환경부가 추진하는 '우리동네 맑은공기 패키지 지원사업' 공모에서 성서산업단지가 2년 연속 사업 대상지로 선정돼 국·시비 32억 원을 확보했다고 3일 밝혔다.

이번 선정으로 달서구는 전국 18개 선정 지자체 가운데 가장 큰 규모의 지원을 받게 됐으며, 지난해에 이어 2년 연속 전국 최대 규모의 대기환경 개선 사업을 추진하는 성과를 거뒀다.

달서구는 이번 공모를 통해 2025년 54억 원, 2026년 32억 원 등 총 86억 원의 사업비를 확보했다. '우리동네 맑은공기 패키지 지원사업'은 주거지역과 인접한 산업단지나 사업장 밀집 지역을 대상으로, 대기오염 방지시설에 대한 기술진단부터 시설 교체, 유지관리까지 전 과정을 종합적으로 지원하는 사업이다.

지원 대상은 성서산업단지 내 대기배출시설과 방지시설을 설치·운영 중인 중·소기업으로, 시설 노후화 정도와 악취 등 환경 민원 발생 우려, 대기오염물질 다량 배출 여부 등을 고려해 우선 선정된다. 선정된 사업장은 노후 대기오염 방지시설 교체 비용의 최대 90%까지 지원받을 수 있다.

달서구는 지역 환경전문기관인 대구녹색환경지원센터와 협력해 사전 기술진단을 실시하고, 참여 사업자를 선정한 뒤 2026년 말까지 시설 개선을 완료할 계획이다. 이후에도 성과 분석과 사후 관리를 통해 대기질 개선 효과를 체계적으로 관리해 나갈 방침이다.

이태훈 달서구청장은 “2년 연속 대기환경 개선 공모사업에서 전국 최대 규모의 지원을 확보한 것은 대기질 개선에 대한 강한 의지와 철저한 준비의 결과”라며 “앞으로도 구민의 건강과 삶의 질 향상을 최우선 가치로 삼아 쾌적한 생활환경 조성을 위한 대기질 개선에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) currently installing and operating air emission and control facilities within the Seongseo Industrial Complex will be eligible for support. Priority will be given to selecting businesses based on factors such as facility aging, potential environmental complaints (e.g., odors), and whether they emit large amounts of air pollutants. Selected businesses will receive support of up to 90% of the cost of replacing aging air pollution control facilities.

Dalseo-gu will collaborate with the Daegu Green Environment Support Center, a local environmental expert organization, to conduct a preliminary technical diagnosis, select participating businesses, and complete facility improvements by the end of 2026. The district will continue to systematically manage the air quality improvements through performance analysis and follow-up management.
