【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=감사원이 포항 형산강 마리나 계류장 조성사업과 관련해 공익감사를 실시하기로 결정했다.
포항시의회에 따르면 감사원은 3일자로 감사 실시 결정을 통보했으며, 감사 기간은 2월 5일부터 3월 5일까지 한 달간 진행된다.
이번 감사는 포항시가 약 100억 원의 예산을 투입해 추진한 형산강 마리나 계류장 조성사업 전반을 대상으로 한다. 포항시의회는 지난해 7월 사업 추진 과정에서의 부실 행정과 안전성 문제를 지적하며 감사원에 공익감사를 청구했다.
공익감사 청구서에는 사업 위치 선정의 적정성 문제와 시의회의 지적 사항 미반영 여부를 비롯해 실시설계 과정의 절차적 하자, 설계·시공상의 구조적 부실, 준공도서 및 시공 실태의 적정성, 운영 부서의 인수 거부와 기능상 문제 등이 포함됐다. 이와 함께 정책 결정 과정과 예산 집행의 책임성, 준공 이후 발생한 하자와 유지·보수 문제 등도 감사 대상에 포함된 것으로 알려졌다.
포항시의회는 제324회 제1차 정례회 제3차 본회의에서 감사원 공익감사 청구안을 의결했으며, 이후 김철수 건설도시위원회 위원장과 김하영 시의원이 감사원을 방문해 청구서를 제출했다.
김하영 시의원은 앞서 제318회 임시회 시정질문을 통해 해당 사업의 행정 전반과 구조 안전성 확보 여부에 문제를 제기하며, 포항시를 상대로 명확한 해명과 대책 마련을 요구해 왔다.

The Pohang City Council approved a request for a public interest audit by the Board of Audit and Inspection at the third plenary session of the 1st regular session of the 324th session. Following this, Construction and Urban Affairs Committee Chairman Kim Cheol-soo and City Councilor Kim Ha-young visited the BAI to submit the request.
Councilor Kim Ha-young had previously raised questions about the overall administrative and structural safety of the project during the 318th extraordinary session, demanding a clear explanation and countermeasures from Pohang City.
Through this public interest audit, the BAI is expected to focus on examining the appropriateness of the entire project implementation process and the allocation of responsibility.
