【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청이 2026년부터 ‘글로벌 한복 나눔 사업’을 본격적으로 추진한다. 이번 사업은 시민들이 기증한 한복을 해외 한국어반 학생들에게 전달하고, 한복 체험 사진 공모전도 함께 열어 한국 문화를 널리 알릴 계획이다.
대구시교육청은 지난 2015년부터 국제문화교류 프로그램의 하나로 한복 나눔을 이어오고 있다. 지금까지 24개국에 4천535벌의 한복을 전달한 바 있다. 특히 2021년부터는 아름다운가게 대구·경북본부와 협약을 맺고, 기증 대상을 시민으로까지 넓혀 더 많은 이들의 참여를 이끌어냈다.
올해 기증 대상은 성인용 한복이다. 속치마와 장신구 등도 함께 기증할 수 있다. 학생, 학부모, 교직원뿐 아니라 시민 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 기증은 2월부터 아름다운가게 대구·경북본부 산하 동구·수성·상인·침산 등 4개 지점에서 현장 접수로 이뤄진다. 택배로도 기증이 가능하지만, 이 경우 배송비는 기증자가 부담해야 한다.
기증받은 한복은 4월 중 해외 한국교육원을 대상으로 수요 조사를 거쳐 5월부터 외국 학교의 한국어반 학생들에게 전달된다. 대구시교육청은 해외 학생들이 직접 한복을 체험할 수 있도록, 전달 전 한복의 상태를 꼼꼼히 점검할 계획이다.
이와 함께 ‘글로벌 한복 사진 공모전’도 마련된다. 해외에서 한복을 기증받아 입은 학생들이 현지 명소를 배경으로 촬영한 사진과 체험 소감을 제출하면, SNS 투표를 통해 우수작이 뽑힌다. 선정된 작품은 대구시교육청 홍보 채널에서 소개될 예정이다.
강은희 대구시교육감은 “한복 기부에 담긴 따뜻한 마음이 외국 학생들의 체험으로 이어져, 우리 전통문화가 세계 곳곳에 널리 알려지길 바란다”며 “이를 통해 글로벌 교육수도로서 대구의 위상도 더욱 높이겠다”고 밝혔다.

Furthermore, a "Global Hanbok Photo Contest" will be held. Students wearing hanbok donated overseas will submit photos of themselves wearing the hanbok, taking photos with local landmarks in the background, along with their impressions of the experience. The winning photos will be selected through a social media vote. The selected photos will be featured on the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education's promotional channels.
Daegu Metropolitan Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee stated, "I hope that the warm hearts expressed in these hanbok donations will lead to international students experiencing them, thereby spreading the word about our traditional culture around the world. Through this, we will further elevate Daegu's status as a global capital of education."
