박대기 전 대통령실 대외협력비서관(옛 춘추관장 직무대리)과 안승대 포항시장 출마예정자는 각각 KTX역과 죽도시장을 찾아 설 연휴 첫 일정에 나섰다.

박대기 전 비서관은 설 명절 연휴가 시작된 첫날, 서울발 첫 귀성열차로 KTX 포항역에 도착한 승객들을 맞이하며 환영 인사를 전했다.

박 출마예정자는 “민족 최대의 명절인 설을 맞아 고향 포항을 찾아주신 귀성객 여러분을 진심으로 환영한다”며 “오랜만에 가족과 이웃을 만나 따뜻한 정을 나누는 뜻깊은 시간이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.

이어 “포항은 대한민국 산업화를 이끌어온 자랑스러운 도시이자, 언제나 다시 돌아오면 마음이 놓이는 고향”이라며 “탄탄한 산업 기반 위에 젊고 역동적인 미래도시로 도약해, 떠났던 이들도 다시 찾고 싶은 포항을 만들고 싶다”고 밝혔다.

그는 “짧은 연휴지만 가족과 함께하는 시간 속에서 충분한 휴식과 재충전의 힘을 얻으시길 바란다”며 “포항의 더 큰 도약을 위해 항상 시민 곁에서 함께 뛰겠다”고 덧붙였다.

같은 날 안승대 포항시장 출마예정자는 지역 최대 전통시장인 죽도시장을 찾아 민생 현장을 점검했다. 안 예비후보는 지지자들과 함께 시장을 돌며 설맞이 장보기를 하고 상인 및 시민들과 직접 소통했다.

이날 그는 제수용품을 직접 구입하며 상인들의 손을 맞잡고 격려를 건넸다. 상인들은 치솟는 물가와 소비 위축에 따른 어려움을 호소했고, 안 예비후보는 “실질적인 지원 대책이 필요하다”며 공감을 표했다.

한 상인은 “명절 앞이라 사람이 좀 모이긴 하지만 예전만 못하다”며 “전통시장이 다시 활기를 찾을 수 있도록 피부에 와닿는 정책을 펼쳐달라”고 말했다.
