의성군에 따르면 조수미는 지난해 12월 의성문화회관에서 열린 ‘조수미 크리스마스 콘서트 My Secret Christmas’를 통해 군민들과 만난 바 있다. 공연 이후 산불 피해로 심신의 어려움을 겪고 있는 주민들에게 작은 힘이 되고 싶다는 뜻을 전하며 기부 의사를 밝힌 것으로 전해졌다.
