더불어민주당 김부겸 후보와의 본선 경쟁에 대해서는 “경선 과정에서 지지세가 다소 분산됐지만, 이제 결집된 힘으로 민심을 얻겠다”며 “대구 경제를 살릴 적임자임을 진정성 있게 알리겠다”고 말했다.

주요 공약으로는 산업 구조 개편과 일자리 창출 등 ‘대구 경제 대전환’을 제시했다. 추 후보는 “경제 위기는 특정 분야의 문제가 아니라 구조적인 문제”라며 “돈과 사람이 찾아오는 대구를 만들겠다”고 포부를 밝혔다.

여야 협치와 관련해선 “대구·경북 통합, 신공항 건설, 산업구조 전환 등 핵심 과제는 정당을 넘어 함께 추진해야 한다”며 “민주당과의 경제 발전 공동협의체 구성을 제안했고, 현재 답변을 기다리는 중”이라고 언급했다.

시정 운영 방향에 대해서는 “늘 민생을 최우선에 두고 시민과 소통하는 유능한 시장이 되겠다”고 덧붙였다.

한편 이인선 대구시당위원장은 “드디어 대구시장 후보가 확정됐다. 대구에는 12명의 국회의원과 30만 당원이 있다. 모두의 힘을 모아 반드시 승리하길 바란다”며 당부했다.

He further mentioned, "I proposed the formation of a joint consultative body for economic development with the Democratic Party and am currently awaiting a response."

Regarding the direction of city administration, he added, "I will become a competent mayor who always prioritizes the people's livelihoods and communicates with citizens."

Meanwhile, Lee In-sun, Chairperson of the Daegu City Party Committee, urged, "The candidate for Daegu Mayor has finally been confirmed. Daegu has 12 National Assembly members and 300,000 party members. I hope we can unite everyone's strength and achieve victory without fail."
