대구도시개발공사는 지난 29일 신용회복위원회와 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고, 지역 내 주거복지 사각지대에 놓인 취약계층을 위한 체계적인 지원 기반을 마련했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 주거 안정에 머물지 않고 금융 회복까지 연계하는 통합적 지원 체계를 구축하기 위해 추진됐다. 공사는 지난해 8월 ‘주거아웃리치’ 활동의 일환으로 입주환영식과 연계한 금융 클래스 시범사업을 운영했으며, 이를 통해 확인된 실질적인 금융 지원 수요를 바탕으로 협력 범위를 확대했다.

협약에 따라 양 기관은 정기적인 금융 상담과 맞춤형 지원을 본격 추진하고, 채무조정과 신용관리 등 실질적인 금융 지원이 지속적으로 이뤄질 수 있도록 협력 체계를 강화할 계획이다. 이를 통해 주거 안정과 금융 자립을 동시에 지원하는 복합적 복지 모델을 구현한다는 방침이다.

정명섭 사장은 “이번 협약은 단순한 금융 상담을 넘어 입주민의 신용 회복과 실질적인 재정 자립을 지원하는 데 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 주거취약계층의 안정적인 삶과 자립을 위해 지속적으로 지원을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편 이번 협력은 주거 안정과 금융 자립을 유기적으로 연계한 통합 지원 모델을 제시했다는 점에서 주목받고 있으며, ‘주거는 곧 삶의 회복’이라는 정책적 가치를 실현하는 사례로 평가된다.
