올해 농어민수당은 지난해보다 지급 시기가 앞당겨 연 1회 60만원을 전용카드로 일괄 지급한다. 기존 카드 소지자는 별도 절차 없이 5월 6일 포인트 충전이 완료돼 즉시 사용할 수 있다. 신규 발급 및 재발급 대상자는 6일부터 주소지 읍·면·동 행정복지센터를 방문해 카드를 발급받을 수 있으며, 익일부터 사용 가능하다.
농어민수당은 농업의 공익적 가치를 유지하는 농업인들을 지원하기 위한 사업으로, 영천 지역 내에서만 사용할 수 있어 지역 내 소비 촉진과 실물 경제 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
