【브레이크뉴스 칠곡】이성현 기자=경북과학대학교(총장 정은재)가 외국인 유학생 문화체험과 지역 행사 참여를 통해 지역 정주 기반 확대와 상생 협력 강화에 나섰다.

경북과학대 RISE사업단은 지난 4일 경주 일대에서 한국어과정 연수생 8명을 대상으로 문화체험 프로그램을 운영했다. 이번 프로그램은 헬스케어과 교육과정 참여자와 참여 예정자를 중심으로 지역사회 유대감 형성을 목표로 마련됐다.

참가자들은 황리단길에서 한복 체험을 한 뒤 대릉원, 신라역사과학관, 추억의 달동네, 동궁과 월지 등을 방문하며 경북 지역의 역사와 문화를 직접 체험했다.

지역 행사 참여도 활발히 이어졌다. 경북과학대가 운영하는 칠곡군 어린이급식관리지원센터는 지난 5일 칠곡군 호국평화기념관 일원에서 열린 ‘2026년 칠곡군 어린이 행복 큰잔치’에 참여해 체험부스를 운영했다. 현장에서는 어린이들을 대상으로 올바른 손 씻기 방법과 중요성을 교육하고, 입체 꽃 비누 만들기 체험 프로그램을 진행해 호응을 얻었다.

앞서 지난 2일에는 칠곡평화분수 광장에서 열린 전국노래자랑 칠곡군편 연계 ‘퍼뜩시장’에도 참여해 RISE사업 홍보와 함께 ‘칠곡 꿀맥’ 판매 및 홍보 부스를 운영했다. 칠곡군 농업기술센터 주관으로 열린 이번 행사에서는 참외, 쌀, 화훼, 버섯, 꿀, 망고수박 등 다양한 지역 농특산물과 가공품이 함께 소개됐다.

정은재 총장은 “외국인 유학생이 지역사회에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 다양한 프로그램을 확대하고, 지역과 대학이 상생하는 실질적인 협력 모델 구축에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.

On the 4th, the Kyungpook National University RISE Project Team operated a cultural experience program in the Gyeongju area for eight trainees in the Korean language course. This program was designed to foster a sense of community bonding, focusing on current and prospective participants in the Healthcare Department curriculum.

After trying on Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing) on ​​Hwangnidan-gil, the participants visited Daereungwon, the Silla History and Science Museum, the Village of Memories, and Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, directly experiencing the history and culture of the Gyeongbuk region.

Participation in local events also continued actively. The Chilgok County Children's Food Service Management Support Center, operated by Kyungpook National University, participated in the "2026 Chilgok County Children's Happiness Festival," held on the 5th at the Chilgok County Memorial Hall for National Defense and Peace, and operated an experience booth.
