미생물배양실은 고압멸균배양기와 미생물 저장조, 자동분주시스템 등 첨단 장비를 갖추고 연간 100톤 규모의 유용미생물 보급을 목표로 운영되고 있다. ▲고초균 ▲광합성균 ▲유산균 ▲효모균 등 4종의 미생물을 생산해 농가에 무상 공급하고 있으며, 작물과 재배환경에 맞는 활용 방법 지도도 병행하고 있다.

특히 올해는 미생물 활용 효과가 입소문을 타면서 신규 이용 농가가 눈에 띄게 증가했다. 농업기술센터는 고추 육묘 농가를 중심으로 보급을 확대하며 활용 범위를 넓히고 있으며, 연간 공급 계획 100톤 가운데 현재까지 약 30톤이 배부돼 현장의 높은 관심을 반영하고 있다.

현재 공급되는 유용미생물은 토양 환경 개선과 작물 생육 촉진, 병해충 억제, 축산 악취 저감 등에 효과가 있는 것으로 알려졌다. 특히 과실 품질 향상에 도움이 돼 사과 재배 농가의 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다.

농업기술센터는 향후 보급 농가를 대상으로 활용 효과를 지속적으로 모니터링하고, 작목별 교육과 홍보를 강화해 미생물 활용을 더욱 확산시킬 계획이다.

청송군 관계자는 “미생물배양실은 친환경 농업 실현과 농업 환경 개선에 중요한 역할을 하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 안정적인 농업 기반 구축을 위해 미생물 생산과 공급을 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Notably, this year has seen a significant increase in new farms as word of the benefits of using microorganisms spreads. The Agricultural Technology Center is expanding the scope of utilization by increasing supply, primarily targeting chili pepper seedling farmers. To date, approximately 30 tons have been distributed out of the planned annual supply of 100 tons, reflecting the high level of interest from the field. The beneficial microorganisms currently being supplied are known to be effective in improving soil conditions, promoting crop growth, suppressing pests and diseases, and reducing livestock odors.
