【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=8일 오전 10시 47분쯤 대구 남구 봉덕동 용두낙조 지하차도에서 낙석 사고가 발생해 1명이 숨졌다.

소방 당국에 따르면, 이날 사고는 지하차도 인근 옹벽 일부가 무너져 내리면서 발생했다. 이 사고로 현장에 있던 주민 1명이 잔해에 깔려 사고를 당한 것으로 전해졌다.

신고를 받은 소방 당국은 곧바로 차량 10대와 소방 인력 36명을 동원해 구조 작업에 나섰다. 

이어 관할 구청인 대구 남구청에 중장비 지원을 요청, 무너진 잔해를 치우는 작업을 함께 진행했다. 이 과정에서 신원이 확인되지 않은 주민 1명이 심정지 상태로 구조됐지만, 끝내 숨진 것으로 알려졌다.

사고 직후 당국은 추가 붕괴에 대비해 긴급 안전 조치를 실시했다. 남구청은 상동교 하상도로 일대를 전면 통제했고, 경찰 역시 순찰차 7대 등을 투입해 인근 도로 통제와 안전 관리에 들어갔다.

경찰과 소방 당국은 정확한 사고 원인 및 경위에 대해 조사를 계속하고 있다.

One person died in a rockslide accident that occurred at the Yongdu Nakjo Underpass in Bongdeok-dong, Nam-gu, Daegu, around 10:47 a.m. on the 8th.
