이에 대해 추 후보는 통합신공항을 국가 전략사업으로 규정하고, 중앙정부 차원의 재정 지원을 반드시 이끌어내겠다고 밝혔다. 그는 “군 공항 이전은 국가가 책임지고 예산을 확보해야 한다”며 “국가 주도의 대규모 지원으로 TK 통합신공항을 신속하게 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

또 “대구경북 행정통합 추진으로 권한과 재정을 키우고, 광역철도망·달빛철도 건설에도 속도를 내겠다”며 “GPU센터와 로봇 테스트필드 확장 등 미래산업 인프라 확충도 적극 추진하겠다”고 강조했다.

추 후보는 경제 활성화를 위한 제도 개선 필요성도 강조했다. 그는 “현장에 걸림돌이 되는 조례는 과감하게 정비하겠다”며 ‘대구조례 전면 대개조’를 약속했다. 또 추가경정예산 편성, 비상경제대책회의 신설 등으로 경제 회복에 총력을 다하겠다는 방침을 밝혔다.

추 후보는 마지막으로 “대구경제 대개조를 통해 산업구조를 AI, 로봇, 미래모빌리티, 반도체, 바이오 중심으로 전환하겠다”며 “청년과 기업, 그리고 자본이 다시 찾아오는 대구를 만들겠다”고 말했다.
