선거관리위원회와 방송사에도 쓴소리를 이어갔다. 이 후보는 “형식적인 기준에만 얽매일 게 아니라 유권자의 알 권리와 더 넓은 정치 참여 보장을 최우선으로 고려해야 한다”며, 후보자 토론회 운영 기준의 개선을 강하게 촉구했다.

정이한 후보의 단식 농성에 대해서는 “개인의 정치적 결단을 넘어 대한민국 선거제도와 정치문화의 불공정함을 사회에 알리는 절박한 호소”라고 평가했다.

특히 “정치 신인과 소수정당 후보들이 구조적으로 배제되는 현재의 토론회 운영 방식은 결국 시민들의 정치 불신만 키운다”며 “부산시장 후보 토론회 참여 보장은 민주주의 다양성과 공정성 회복을 위한 최소한의 원칙”이라고 덧붙였다.

개혁신당 측은 앞으로도 중앙선거관리위원회와 지역 방송사를 상대로 공정한 토론회 운영 기준 마련을 촉구하고, 시민의 정치 참여 확대와 선거제도 개선 활동을 지속적으로 이어가겠다는 입장을 밝혔다.
