【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 지역을 대표하는 문화예술인 157명이 27일 계명대학교 동문에서 더불어민주당 김부겸 대구시장 후보 지지 선언에 나섰다. 

이날 이들은 김 후보에게 문화예술 정책 제안서를 전달하며, 대구가 문화예술 도시로 도약할 수 있도록 힘을 보태기로 했다.

이들은 ‘문화예술로 살리는 대구 골목경제’를 슬로건으로 내걸고, 구와 군마다 흩어진 문화예술 자산을 하나로 잇는 ‘문화예술 균형 도시’ 조성, 지역 예술인의 창작과 역량 강화를 위한 ‘대구문화예술인지원센터’ 설치, 그리고 시민 누구나 쉽게 찾아갈 수 있는 ‘동네 문화예술 쉼터’ 조성 등 다양한 정책을 건의했다.

김 후보는 정책 제안서를 받은 뒤 “문화예술은 시민의 삶과 맞닿아 있는 경제와 공동체의 핵심 자원”이라며 “실용적인 문화정책을 통해 골목경제를 되살리고, 일자리와 상권에 새로운 활력을 불어넣겠다. 

대구를 대한민국 최고의 문화예술 도시로 만들기 위해 힘쓰겠다”고 약속했다.

이날 행사에는 김용락 전 한국국제문화교류진흥원장 등 지역 원로 예술인은 물론, 시인, 작가, 미술가, 음악인 등 100여 명이 참석해 현장에서 지지를 보냈다. 

참석한 문화예술인들은 김 후보의 문화, 관광, 체육 분야 공약에 공감한다면서도 “한 번으로 끝나는 행사가 아닌, 예산과 제도, 인프라가 어우러진 지속 가능한 문화정책이 절실하다”고 입을 모았다.

문화예술인 대표는 “대구의 풍부한 문화자산을 실제 경제와 연결해, 골목마다 활력이 넘치는 도시를 함께 만들어가자”고 말했다.

On the 27th, 157 prominent cultural and artistic figures representing the Daegu region came forward at the Keimyung University Alumni Hall to declare their support for Kim Boo-kyum, the Democratic Party of Korea's candidate for Mayor of Daegu.

Upon receiving the policy proposal, Candidate Kim stated, "Culture and arts are core resources of the economy and community that are closely intertwined with the lives of citizens." He promised, "I will revitalize the alley economy through practical cultural policies and breathe new vitality into jobs and commercial districts.

I will strive to make Daegu the best city of culture and arts in Korea." Approximately 100 people attended the event to show their support on the spot, including local senior artists such as Kim Yong-rak, former President of the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, as well as poets, writers, visual artists, and musicians.

While the attending cultural and artistic figures expressed agreement with Candidate Kim’s pledges regarding culture, tourism, and sports, they unanimously stated, “We urgently need sustainable cultural policies that combine budget, systems, and infrastructure, rather than one-off events.”

A representative of the cultural and artistic community said, “Let us connect Daegu’s rich cultural assets with the real economy and work together to create a city where every alley is overflowing with vitality.”
