안동역은 5일 지역 아동복지시설인 아네트의 집 아동들을 초청해 KTX-이음을 이용한 ‘해피트레인’ 프로그램을 운영했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 평소 기차여행과 문화체험 기회가 상대적으로 적은 아동들에게 다양한 경험을 제공하고, 지역사회와 함께하는 나눔경영 실천을 위해 마련됐다.

이날 참가자 30명은 안동역에서 KTX-이음 열차를 타고 울산의 태화강역에 도착한 뒤 다양한 체험활동에 참여했다.

아이들은 메타세쿼이아 숲길을 걸으며 자연을 체험하고, 울산대공원 내 동물원을 관람했다. 이어 생태여행관의 나비원과 식물원을 둘러보며 생태환경에 대한 이해를 높이는 시간을 가졌다.

안동역은 이번 해피트레인 행사를 통해 아동들에게 즐거운 추억과 함께 다양한 문화·생태 체험 기회를 제공하고, 지역사회 공공기관으로서 사회적 책임 실천에도 힘을 보탰다.

임정혁 역장은 “이번 기차여행이 아이들에게 소중한 추억과 행복한 경험으로 남길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 해피트레인 사회공헌 활동을 지속적으로 추진해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

KORAIL Andong Station Hosts ‘Happy Train’ Trip with Children from Welfare Facilities

KORAIL’s Andong Station carried out a social contribution activity by presenting local children with special memories of a train journey.

Andong Station announced that on the 5th, it invited children from Annette’s House, a local child welfare facility, and operated a ‘Happy Train’ program using the KTX-Ieum service.

This event was organized to provide diverse experiences to children, who usually have relatively limited opportunities for train travel and cultural experiences, and to practice "sharing management" in partnership with the local community.

On this day, 30 participants boarded the KTX-Ieum train at Andong Station, arrived at Taehwagang Station in Ulsan, and engaged in various experiential activities.

The children experienced nature by walking along the Metasequoia forest path and visited the zoo within Ulsan Grand Park. Following this, they toured the butterfly garden and botanical garden at the Eco-Travel Center, spending time deepening their understanding of the ecological environment.

Through this Happy Train event, Andong Station provided children with opportunities for diverse cultural and ecological experiences, along with joyful memories, while also contributing to the fulfillment of social responsibility as a public institution in the local community.

Station Manager Lim Jeong-hyeok stated, “I hope this train journey will remain a precious memory and a happy experience for the children,” adding, “We will continue to promote Happy Train social contribution activities in partnership with the local community.”
