달성군은 차량 통행량이 많지만 주변에 민가나 상업시설이 부족해 위치 설명에 어려움이 있던 달구벌대로 일원에 기초번호판 70개 설치를 완료했다고 밝혔다.

설치 구간은 다사읍 북부노인복지관 인근부터 하빈면 동곡리까지 이어지는 달구벌대로 외곽 지역으로, 사고나 응급상황 발생 시 정확한 위치 확인이 쉽지 않았던 곳이다.

기초번호판은 건물이 없는 도로변이나 하천, 공원 등에서 현재 위치를 쉽게 확인할 수 있도록 설치하는 주소정보 시설물로, 긴급상황 시 신속한 위치 안내와 구조 활동에 도움이 된다.

특히 군은 야간 식별이 어려운 일부 구간에 태양광 LED 기초번호판을 도입해 실효성을 높였다. 이 시설은 별도의 전기 배선 공사 없이 낮 동안 태양광 에너지를 저장한 뒤 밤에는 자체 발광하는 방식으로 운영된다.

최재훈 달성군수는 “건물이 없는 도로 구간에서도 기초번호판을 통해 자신의 위치를 보다 정확하게 확인할 수 있게 됐다”며 “앞으로도 군민 안전을 최우선으로 주소정보 인프라를 지속 확충하고 관리해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

한편 달성군은 응급상황 대응 능력을 높이고 주민 생활 편의를 증진하기 위해 주소정보 시설물 정비와 확충 사업을 지속적으로 추진하고 있다.
