구미시는 오는 29일까지 총 6일간 ‘민선9기 공약사항 및 혁신프로젝트 보고회’를 열고 시정 전반에 대한 점검과 함께 중장기 발전 전략을 논의한다고 밝혔다.

이번 보고회는 민선9기 출범에 대비해 주요 정책과 현안 사업의 추진 상황을 면밀히 살피고 향후 4년간의 시정 비전과 실행계획을 구체화하기 위해 마련됐다. 실·국·소별 핵심 업무를 비롯해 주요 현안사업, 공약 추진 계획 등을 종합적으로 검토할 예정이다.

특히 민선9기 공약사업의 추진 방향과 이행 전략을 세부적으로 점검하고 전문가 의견, 시민 수요, 부서 검토 결과 등을 반영해 정책의 실효성과 실행 가능성을 높이는 데 중점을 둘 계획이다.

아울러 지역경제 활성화와 골목상권 회복, 미래산업 육성, 정주환경 개선, 생활밀착형 행정서비스 확대 등 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 혁신 과제를 발굴해 민선9기 핵심 정책으로 발전시켜 나갈 방침이다.

구미시는 이번 보고회를 통해 시정 운영의 연속성을 확보하고 주요 정책의 실행력을 강화하는 한편, 민생 중심 행정을 위한 기반을 마련할 것으로 기대하고 있다.

김장호 구미시장은 “민선9기에는 시민 삶의 질 향상과 지역경제 회복에 행정 역량을 집중할 계획”이라며 “공약사업의 완성도를 높이고 시민들이 변화를 체감할 수 있는 혁신정책을 지속적으로 발굴해 더욱 경쟁력 있는 도시를 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.
