【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=에너지 산업의 미래를 한자리에서 조망할 수 있는 ‘2026 대한민국 전기산업엑스포’(EPEK 2026)가 오는 24일부터 26일까지 3일간 대구 엑스코에서 열린다.

이번 행사는 경상북도와 한국전기공사협회가 공동 주최하고, 엑스코와 전기신문사가 주관한다. 원자력과 신재생에너지, 전력 디지털 기술, 전기안전, 전기차 충전 인프라 등 전력·에너지 산업 전반을 아우르는 국내 대표 전문 전시회로 마련됐다.

올해 전시회에는 130개 기업이 400개 부스 규모로 참가하며, 해외 바이어 10개국 19개사가 참석하는 수출상담회와 다양한 비즈니스 프로그램, 전문 세미나도 함께 열린다. 이는 지난해 6개국 8개사 대비 두 배 이상 확대된 규모로, 국내 기업들의 해외 진출 기회가 크게 넓어질 것으로 기대된다.

전시장은 ‘경상북도 원자력 르네상스 파빌리온’에서 원전 기술과 관련 기자재를, ‘신재생에너지 파빌리온’에서는 태양광, 풍력, 에너지저장장치(ESS) 등 친환경 에너지 솔루션을 각각 선보인다. 이밖에도 ‘기자재 파빌리온’과 ‘시공·안전 파빌리온’에서는 스마트그리드, 전력설비, 전기안전 기술 등이 전시될 예정이다.

주요 참가 기업으로는 한국수력원자력, 두산에너빌리티, 한국전력기술, 한국전력공사, 한전KDN 등이 이름을 올렸다.

엑스코 동관 5홀에서는 동시에 전기차 충전 인프라 전문 전시회인 ‘배터리차징쇼’가 열린다. 관람객들은 전력 생산부터 송전, 충전, 소비까지 에너지 산업 밸류체인을 한눈에 살펴볼 수 있다.

행사 기간 중에는 에너지 정책과 산업 현안에 대한 전문 세미나도 이어진다. 한국에너지공단이 주관하는 ‘2030 에너지 대전환 설명회’를 비롯해 ‘햇빛소득마을·영농형 태양광 설명회’, ‘분산에너지 하이브리드시스템 워크숍’, ‘배전망 신뢰도 향상 및 기자재 기술교류회’, ‘리튬이온 배터리 화재 대응 세미나’, ‘KEC 기반 전기설계 기술세미나’ 등 다양한 행사가 마련된다.

특히 최근 제도 변화에 대응하는 영농형 태양광법, 분산에너지법 등의 실무형 프로그램도 다수 준비돼 업계 관심이 집중되고 있다.

전춘우 엑스코 대표는 “EPEK 2026은 해외 바이어 확대와 배터리차징쇼 연계를 통해 역대 최대 규모이자 가장 내실 있는 전기산업 전문 전시회로 준비했다”며, “대한민국 전기·에너지 기술의 경쟁력을 세계에 알리고 국내 기업의 수출 확대를 뒷받침하는 계기가 될 것”이라고 강조했다.

The ‘2026 Korea Electric Industry Expo’ (EPEK 2026), offering a comprehensive overview of the future of the energy industry, will be held at EXCO in Daegu for three days from the 24th to the 26th.

This event is co-hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and the Korea Electric Contractors Association, and organized by EXCO and the Electric Times. It has been established as Korea’s leading specialized exhibition encompassing the entire power and energy industry, including nuclear power, renewable energy, digital power technology, electrical safety, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

This year’s exhibition will feature 130 companies occupying 400 booths. It will also host export consultations attended by 19 overseas buyers from 10 countries, along with various business programs and specialized seminars. This represents more than a twofold expansion compared to last year, which saw participation from 8 companies from 6 countries, and is expected to significantly broaden opportunities for domestic companies to enter global markets. The exhibition hall will showcase nuclear power technology and related equipment at the ‘Gyeongsangbuk-do Nuclear Renaissance Pavilion,’ while the ‘New and Renewable Energy Pavilion’ will present eco-friendly energy solutions such as solar power, wind power, and Energy Storage Systems (ESS). In addition, the ‘Equipment Pavilion’ and ‘Construction & Safety Pavilion’ are scheduled to exhibit smart grids, power facilities, and electrical safety technologies.

Major participating companies include Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP), Doosan Energyability, KEPCO Engineering & Construction, Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO), and KEPCO KDN.

Simultaneously, the ‘Battery Charging Show,’ a specialized exhibition for electric vehicle charging infrastructure, will be held in Hall 5 of the EXCO East Wing. Visitors can view the entire energy industry value chain—from power generation to transmission, charging, and consumption—at a glance.

Specialized seminars on energy policy and current industry issues will also take place during the event. Various events are being organized, including the ‘2030 Energy Transition Briefing’ hosted by the Korea Energy Agency, the ‘Sunshine Income Village and Agri-Solar Photovoltaic Briefing,’ the ‘Distributed Energy Hybrid System Workshop,’ the ‘Distribution Network Reliability Improvement and Equipment Technology Exchange,’ the ‘Lithium-ion Battery Fire Response Seminar,’ and the ‘KEC-based Electrical Design Technology Seminar.’

In particular, industry interest is focused on the numerous practical programs prepared to address recent regulatory changes, such as the Agri-Solar Photovoltaic Act and the Distributed Energy Act.

Jeon Chun-woo, CEO of EXCO, emphasized, “EPEK 2026 has been prepared as the largest and most substantial specialized exhibition for the electric industry in history by expanding the number of overseas buyers and linking it with the Battery Charging Show.” He added, “It will serve as an opportunity to showcase the competitiveness of Korea’s electric and energy technology to the world and support the export expansion of domestic companies.”
