복숭아장터는 생산 농가와 소비자를 직접 연결하는 직거래 행사로, 영덕산 복숭아의 우수한 품질을 알리고 안정적인 판매 기반을 마련하기 위해 매년 여름철 운영되고 있다.

특히 지역의 주요 관광지와 연계해 휴가철 영덕을 찾는 관광객들에게 신선한 제철 복숭아를 합리적인 가격에 제공함으로써 농가 판로 확대와 지역 농산물 홍보 효과를 동시에 거두고 있다.

올해 장터는 7월 24일부터 8월 17일까지 운영되며, 영덕장터(남산1리 마을회관 앞)와 영해장터(영해휴게소 야외 판매장) 등 2곳에서 판매가 이뤄질 예정이다.
