【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교(총장직무대행 전경국)는 경상북도 지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE) 사업 1차년도 자체평가에서 ‘특성화 대학’과 ‘K-U시티’ 과제가 A등급을 획득했다고 밝혔다.
이번 평가 결과에 따라 선린대학교는 ‘특성화 대학’ 과제 부문에서 성과 인센티브 4억원을 추가 확보하게 됐다. 이에 따라 2026년도 해당 사업 예산은 총 22억8천만원 규모로 확대됐다.
대학 측은 추가 확보한 재원을 지역 산업 수요를 반영한 교육혁신 프로그램 운영과 산학협력 활성화, 지역 정주형 인재 양성 체계 구축 등에 활용할 계획이라고 설명했다.
RISE 사업은 대학과 지역사회, 산업체가 연계해 지역 맞춤형 인재를 양성하고 지역 혁신 역량을 높이기 위해 추진되는 사업이다. 선린대학교는 지역 산업과 연계한 교육과정 운영, 현장 중심 인재 양성, 산학협력 확대 등을 중심으로 사업을 추진해 왔다.
현진숙 선린대학교 RISE사업단장은 “이번 평가 결과는 대학 구성원과 지역사회가 함께 노력한 성과가 반영된 결과”라며 “1차년도 사업 운영 성과를 바탕으로 지역 수요를 반영한 교육혁신을 더욱 강화하고 지역특화 산업 발전에 기여할 전문 인재 양성에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
한편 선린대학교는 경상북도 RISE 사업을 통해 지역 정주형 인재 육성, 산학협력 확대, 지역산업 경쟁력 제고 등 지역혁신을 위한 다양한 사업을 지속적으로 추진할 예정이다.

The university explained that it plans to utilize the additional funds to operate educational innovation programs reflecting local industrial demands, revitalize industry-academia cooperation, and establish a system for cultivating local talent capable of settling in the region.
The RISE project is an initiative promoted to foster region-specific talent and enhance regional innovation capabilities by linking universities, local communities, and industries. Sunlin University has been pursuing the project with a focus on operating curricula linked to local industries, cultivating field-oriented talent, and expanding industry-academia cooperation.

Meanwhile, Sunlin University plans to continuously pursue various initiatives for regional innovation through the Gyeongsangbuk-do RISE project, including fostering local talent, expanding industry-academia cooperation, and enhancing the competitiveness of local industries.
