구미시는 6월 26일 구미국가5산업단지 2단계 조성 현장에서 사업 추진 상황과 기반 인프라 전반에 대한 현장 점검을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 점검은 전날인 6월 25일 김장호 구미시장이 긴급 기자회견을 통해 반도체 팹(Fab) 유치를 전제로 파격적인 분양가 지원 방침을 제시한 직후 이뤄진 후속 조치로, 산업단지 조성 현황과 주요 현안, 적기 준공 가능성 등을 집중적으로 확인하는 데 초점이 맞춰졌다.

특히 이날 현장에는 김장호 시장을 비롯해 강명구 국회의원, 지역 도·시의원, 한국수자원공사 구미사업부, 한국산업단지공단 경북지역본부 관계자 등이 함께 참여해 ‘구미 원팀’ 체계를 강조했다.

이어 “구미시는 반도체 팹 유치를 위해 모든 역량을 집중하고 있으며, 분양가 지원을 포함해 인프라, 전력, 용수, 인력, 행정 지원까지 전방위적인 지원 체계를 갖추고 있다”며 “대한민국 반도체 산업의 핵심 거점으로 도약할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 강조했다.
