포항시장직 인수위원회는 29일 박용선 당선인과 공원식 인수위원장, 이칠구 부위원장, 인수위원 등이 참석한 가운데 최종 활동보고회를 열고 그동안의 시정 인수 결과와 향후 추진 과제를 종합 보고했다.

지난 6월 10일 출범한 인수위원회는 '현장 중심·소통 중심·화합 중심'을 활동 기조로 삼아 주요 사업 현장과 시민 생활 현장을 직접 점검했다. 또한 자문위원 의견과 시민 정책 제안을 관련 분과 및 담당 부서 검토와 연계해 민선9기 시정 준비 과정에 반영할 수 있도록 했다.

인수위원회는 활동 기간 동안 주요 현안 32건과 정책과제 177건을 검토했으며, 모두 26차례의 업무보고와 5곳의 현장 방문을 진행했다. 시민들로부터 접수한 정책 제안도 273건을 검토 대상으로 삼았다.

박용선 포항시장 당선인은 "인수위원회에서 제안한 정책과 과제는 민선9기 시정을 설계하는 중요한 기초자료로 적극 활용하겠다"며 "시민이 체감할 수 있는 변화를 만들어 지역경제 회복과 시민 삶의 질 향상에 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
