올해로 두 번째를 맞는 이번 포럼은 '경계를 넘어, 새로운 녹색 미래로'를 주제로 진행된다. 철강산업 중심 도시에서 친환경 미래산업 도시로의 도약을 추진하고 있는 포항의 비전을 바탕으로 녹색성장 정책과 산업 혁신 전략을 국내외 전문가들과 함께 논의하는 자리다.

행사에는 기후변화와 지속가능발전 분야를 대표하는 국내외 석학과 전문가들이 대거 참여한다. 미국 상무부 유럽·유라시아 담당 부차관보를 역임한 후안 베르데 알라모 홀딩그룹 창립자 겸 회장을 비롯해 짐 스키 IPCC 의장, 이회성 CF연합 회장, 김상협 글로벌녹색성장기구(GGGI) 사무총장, 아비아야 칼회이 크누센 북극경제이사회(AEC) 의장, 웬 용강 싱가포르 난양기술대학교 교수, 최재천 이화여자대학교 명예교수 등이 연사로 나서 녹색성장과 에너지 전환, 기후 대응 전략을 공유할 예정이다.

On the 9th, the second day of the forum, Chairman Juan Verde will deliver the keynote address under the theme "Sustainability as a Competitive Advantage: Why the Green Transition is Now a Business and Geopolitical Essential."
