대구행복진흥원은 6일 대구시 복지정책과, ㈜iM유페이, 대구사회복지공동모금회와 함께 ‘2026 교통복지사업 다 함께 대구로’를 본격적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이 사업은 올해로 7년째 이어지고 있다. 대구시에 거주하는 만 14세 이상 39세 이하의 취약계층 청소년과 청년을 대상으로 하며, 이들의 교통비 부담을 덜고 이동권을 보장하기 위해 마련됐다. 사업 재원은 장기 미사용 교통카드 충전 잔액 등을 활용해 마련했다.

지원 대상은 기초생활수급자, 차상위계층 등 사회적 취약계층에 속한 청소년·청년 2천 명이다. 이 가운데 청소년과 청년을 각각 1천 명씩 선정했으며, 선정된 이들에게는 1인당 10만 원이 충전된 교통카드가 지급된다.

대상자 선정은 9개 구·군청의 추천을 통해 이뤄졌다. 가족돌봄청년, 다자녀 가구, 장거리 통학 학생, 청년 구직자, 통합사례관리 대상자 등 실제로 교통비 지원이 필요한 이들을 중심으로 선발했으며, 최종 대상자는 대구행복진흥원이 관리한다.

교통카드는 지난 6월 23일부터 25일까지 각 구·군에 전달됐으며, 7월 말까지 읍면동 행정복지센터를 통해 대상자에게 차례로 배부된다. 대상자는 안내를 받은 뒤 신분증을 가지고 지정된 행정복지센터를 방문하면 교통카드를 받을 수 있다.

한편, 대구행복진흥원은 이번 사업과 함께 시민들의 대중교통 이용을 장려하기 위한 ‘All 타’ 이벤트도 오는 9월까지 진행한다. 만 14세 이상 시민 누구나 참여할 수 있으며, 매달 520명을 추첨해 5만 원 상당의 교통카드를 지급할 예정이다.

대구행복진흥원 관계자는 “교통비 부담 때문에 이동에 제약을 느끼는 청소년과 청년들이 보다 자유롭게 학업과 취업, 다양한 사회활동에 참여할 수 있도록 앞으로도 지원을 이어가겠다”며, “시민들이 실질적으로 체감할 수 있는 교통복지 정책을 꾸준히 확대해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The transportation cards were delivered to each district and county from June 23 to 25 and will be distributed to beneficiaries sequentially through Eup, Myeon, and Dong administrative welfare centers until the end of July.
