【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구보건대학교가 지난 3일 대구 엑스코 동관 제2세미나장에서 ‘디지털헬스케어 혁신클러스터 심포지엄’을 개최했다. 이날 행사는 DOM(치과·광학·의료) Complex를 기반으로 한 초광역 기업지원 성과와 디지털헬스케어 산업의 발전 방향을 공유하기 위해 마련됐다.

현장에는 김지인 대외부총장과 이재달 대구시 대학정책과장을 비롯해 대학, 연구기관, 기업, 의료기관 관계자 등 80여 명이 참석했다. 심포지엄 내용은 유튜브 생중계를 통해 지역 안팎의 관계자들에게도 실시간으로 전달됐다.

이번 심포지엄에서는 대학과 기업이 협력해 기술 실증부터 시제품 제작, 사업화까지 이어지는 전주기 기업지원 모델의 성과가 소개됐다. 특히 한달빛글로컬보건연합대학이 추진한 기업지원 우수사례 발표를 통해 대구·광주·대전을 잇는 초광역 산학협력 모델의 운영 성과와 확산 가능성도 함께 짚었다.

기업지원 사례로는 지역 기업인 굿디바이스가 개발 중인 ‘스마트 자동 초음파 세척기’가 주목을 받았다. 대학 측은 기술 고도화 자문, 시제품 제작, 실증 테스트까지 전 과정에 걸쳐 지원했고, 이 과정에서 제품 완성도를 높여 사업화 기반 마련에 힘을 더했다. 의료·치과·광학 분야의 세척 및 위생관리 자동화 수요에 적극 대응한 대표적인 산학협력 성과라는 평가다.

참석자들은 디지털헬스케어 산업의 성장 잠재력과 더불어, 대학이 보유한 연구 역량과 지역 기업의 기술력 연계를 통해 혁신 성과를 창출하는 산학협력 모델의 중요성을 강조했다. 유튜브 생중계를 통해 지역 내외 관계자들이 성과를 공유할 수 있도록 한 점도 의미를 더했다는 평가다.

김지인 대외부총장은 “이번 심포지엄은 디지털헬스케어의 변화와 미래를 함께 조망하고, 산·학·연·관·병이 지속 가능한 협력 방안을 모색하는 뜻깊은 자리였다”며 “앞으로도 DOM Complex를 중심으로 초광역 산학협력 체계를 더욱 강화해 지역 산업 경쟁력과 기업의 성장을 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The university provided support throughout the entire process, from technical advancement consulting and prototype production to validation testing. By enhancing the product's completeness during this process, the university helped lay the groundwork for commercialization. This is evaluated as a representative achievement of industry-academia collaboration that actively responds to the demand for automated cleaning and hygiene management in the medical, dental, and optics fields.

Attendees emphasized the growth potential of the digital healthcare industry and highlighted the importance of industry-academia collaboration models that generate innovative results by linking the university's research capabilities with the technological prowess of local companies. The fact that the event was live-streamed on YouTube to allow stakeholders from both within and outside the region to share in the achievements was also noted as adding further significance.

Vice President for External Affairs Kim Ji-in stated, "This symposium was a meaningful occasion to survey the changes and future of digital healthcare together and to explore sustainable cooperation strategies among industry, academia, research institutes, government, and hospitals." She added, "Moving forward, we will further strengthen the super-regional industry-academia collaboration system centered around the DOM Complex to actively support regional industrial competitiveness and corporate growth."
