【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=선린대학교 물리치료과가 포항테크노파크가 추진하는 미래 신산업 기획지원 과제에 선정되며 지역 기반 헬스케어 서비스 모델 개발에 나선다.
선린대학교(총장직무대행 전경국)는 물리치료과 차유리 교수와 이정훈 교수가 ‘2026 미래유망 신성장산업 및 과학기술발굴 기획지원사업’에 최종 선정됐다고 6일 밝혔다.
해당 사업은 지역의 미래 신산업 발굴과 후속 연구개발(R&D) 과제 기획을 지원하기 위한 프로그램으로, 선정 과제에는 약 3개월간 총 1천만 원 규모의 연구비가 지원된다.
이번에 선정된 연구과제는 ‘재가노인 건강관리 수요 기반 기능성 소재 제품의 활용모델 및 서비스 모델 기획’이다. 연구팀은 재가노인의 건강관리 수요를 분석하고 그래핀 등 기능성 소재 기반 건강관리 제품의 활용 가능성과 안전성을 검토해 지역 맞춤형 헬스케어 서비스 모델을 제안할 계획이다.
연구는 초고령사회에 대응한 지역 기반 건강관리 체계 구축을 목표로, 병원 중심 치료에서 벗어나 지역사회 중심의 지속 가능한 돌봄 모델로 확장하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있다.
차유리 교수는 “초고령사회에서는 병원 중심 치료를 넘어 지역사회에서 지속 가능한 건강관리 체계를 구축하는 것이 중요하다”며 “재가노인의 건강관리 수요를 반영한 서비스 모델을 마련하고 기능성 소재를 활용한 건강관리 방안을 제시해 지역 기업과의 협력 및 후속 연구로 이어지도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
이정훈 교수는 “기능성 소재의 특성과 활용 가능성을 과학적으로 검토해 실제 현장 적용 방안을 도출하고, 지역 산업과 헬스케어 분야가 함께 성장할 수 있는 기반을 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The selected research project is titled ‘Planning of Utilization Models and Service Models for Functional Material Products Based on Health Management Demands of the Elderly Living at Home.’ The research team plans to analyze the health management needs of the elderly living at home and examine the applicability and safety of health management products based on functional materials such as graphene to propose a region-tailored healthcare service model.
