경상북도의회는 13일 김희수 의장을 비롯한 부의장과 상임위원장, 영천지역 도의원, 의회사무처 간부 등 25명이 영천호국원을 방문해 참배했다고 밝혔다.

참석자들은 현충탑에서 헌화와 분향, 묵념을 하며 나라를 위해 희생한 순국선열과 호국영령의 넋을 기리고, 도민을 위한 의정활동에 최선을 다하겠다는 의지를 다졌다.

이번 참배는 제13대 전반기 원 구성을 마친 뒤 진행된 첫 공식 일정으로 마련됐다. 의장단과 상임위원장들은 도정 주요 현안을 면밀히 살피는 한편, 현장의 의견을 정책과 의정활동에 적극 반영하는 데 힘을 모으기로 했다.
