【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=영진전문대학교가 외국인 유학생들을 위해 생활용품을 제공하는 ‘글로벌 나눔 플리마켓’을 마련해 따뜻한 나눔을 실천했다.

영진전문대 한국어교육센터는 14일 교내 정보관 강의실에서 어학연수생을 대상으로 플리마켓 행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다. 이번 행사에는 교직원과 한국어 강사들이 자발적으로 기부한 의류, 화장품, 소형 가전, 생활용품 등 1,000여 점의 물품이 준비됐다. 현장에는 어학연수 과정에 참여 중인 외국인 유학생 260여 명이 참석해 필요한 물품을 직접 골랐다.

플리마켓은 한국어교육센터가 운영하는 ‘출석 쿠폰’ 제도와 연계해 진행됐다. 학생들은 수업에 꾸준히 출석하며 받은 쿠폰으로 생활용품을 교환했다. 대학 측은 이 제도가 학생들의 학습 의욕을 높이고, 동시에 유학생들의 경제적 부담을 덜어주면서 한국 생활 적응에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대했다.

타지키스탄에서 온 유학생 사이도바 자스민 씨는 “매일 출석하면서 모은 쿠폰으로 필요한 물품을 받을 수 있어 정말 유익했다. 학교의 따뜻한 배려를 느꼈다”고 소감을 전했다.

차용두 한국어교육센터장은 “교직원과 강사들의 작은 나눔이 유학생들에게 힘이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 외국인 유학생들이 안정적으로 한국에 적응할 수 있도록 다양한 지원 프로그램을 이어 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Yeongjin College practiced warm sharing by organizing a "Global Sharing Flea Market" to provide daily necessities for international students.

The Yeongjin College Korean Language Education Center announced that it held a flea market event for language trainees on the 14th in a lecture hall at the Information Center on campus. Approximately 1,000 items, including clothing, cosmetics, small appliances, and daily necessities, were prepared for the event and voluntarily donated by faculty, staff, and Korean language instructors. Around 260 international students participating in language training programs attended the event to personally select the items they needed.

The flea market was conducted in conjunction with the "Attendance Coupon" system operated by the Korean Language Education Center. Students exchanged daily necessities using coupons earned by consistently attending classes. The college expects this system to boost students' motivation to learn, alleviate the financial burden on international students, and aid in their adaptation to life in Korea.

Jasmine Saidova, an international student from Tajikistan, shared her thoughts, saying, “It was really beneficial to be able to receive necessary items using coupons collected by attending every day. I felt the school’s warm consideration.”
