【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구가 ‘2025~2026년 겨울철 복지위기가구 발굴·지원’ 평가에서 우수 지자체로 뽑혀 보건복지부 장관 표창을 받았다.

보건복지부가 실시한 이번 평가는 겨울철 복지위기가구 발굴과 지원 실적, 행복e음 복지사각지대 발굴시스템 운영 성과, 우수사례 등을 종합적으로 살펴 이뤄졌다.

동구는 복지사각지대 발굴추진단을 중심으로 위기가구를 선제적으로 찾아내는 데 주력해왔다. 특히 안부 우편서비스인 ‘똑똑! 희망소포 배달왔습니다’와 정기 현장사업 ‘수요발굴Day’ 운영을 통해 도움이 필요한 주민을 직접 찾아가는 현장 중심 복지행정을 펼쳐 좋은 평가를 받았다.

지난해에는 복지 사각지대에 놓인 1,022가구를 직접 찾아가 생활실태를 파악하고, 공적급여 및 민간 복지서비스와 연계해 맞춤형 지원을 제공했다. 이 과정에서 동 행정복지센터, 지역사회보장협의체, 새론희망발굴단 등과 적극적으로 협력하며 위기가구 발굴과 지원의 실효성을 높였다.

우성진 동구청장은 “이번 수상은 현장에서 복지 사각지대 해소에 힘쓴 동 행정복지센터 직원들과 지역사회보장협의체, 새론희망발굴단 등 민관 협력기관 모두의 노력 덕분”이라며 “앞으로도 도움이 필요한 주민을 더 세심하게 발굴하고, 신속하게 맞춤형 복지서비스를 제공해 누구도 소외되지 않는 따뜻한 복지 동구를 만들겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Dong-gu was selected as an outstanding local government in the evaluation of the ‘2025–2026 Winter Welfare Crisis Household Identification and Support’ and received a commendation from the Minister of Health and Welfare.

This evaluation, conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, comprehensively examined the performance of identifying and supporting welfare crisis households during the winter, the operational results of the ‘Happy e-eum’ welfare blind spot identification system, and best practices.

Dong-gu has focused on proactively identifying crisis households, centering on its Welfare Blind Spot Identification Task Force. In particular, it received favorable evaluations for implementing field-oriented welfare administration by directly visiting residents in need through the ‘Knock, Knock! Hope Parcel Has Arrived’ mail service and the regular field project, ‘Demand Identification Day.’

Last year, the district directly visited 1,022 households in welfare blind spots to assess their living conditions and provided customized support by linking them with public benefits and private welfare services. In this process, active cooperation with Dong Administrative Welfare Centers, the Community Social Security Council, and the Saeron Hope Discovery Team enhanced the effectiveness of identifying and supporting households in crisis.
