【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구보건대학교와 군위고등학교가 지역사회와 학교 생활 속 문제를 학생들이 직접 발굴하고 해결방안을 제시하는 ‘디자인씽킹 프로젝트 발표회’를 개최했다.

대구보건대는 군위고와 함께 지난 14일 군위고 시청각실에서 ‘제5회 지역사회 연계 디자인씽킹 문제해결 프로젝트 발표회’를 열었다고 16일 밝혔다. 이날 행사에는 두 학교 관계자와 군위교육발전위원회, 군위군청 관계자, 학부모, 학생 등 120여 명이 참석했다.

군위고 3학년 학생 16명은 4개 팀으로 나뉘어 학교 화장실 환경 개선, 무단횡단 방지 및 인식 개선, 학교 계단 안전 확보, 복도 소음 저감 등 학교와 지역사회의 다양한 생활 문제를 주제로 조사 결과와 해결방안을 발표했다.

학생들은 디자인씽킹 기법으로 직접 현장 조사를 진행한 뒤 문제를 분석하고, 창의적인 해결 아이디어도 얻어냈다. 발표 후에는 교육 및 행정 관계자들과 실현 가능성과 개선 방향에 대해 자유롭게 토론하는 시간도 이어졌다.

대구보건대는 프로젝트 모든 과정에서 학생들의 문제 발굴과 아이디어 구체화를 지원했고, 이를 통해 학생들이 문제해결력과 협업 능력, 의사소통 역량을 키울 수 있도록 실천 중심의 교육을 펼쳤다.

윤영순 대구보건대 융합교양교육원장은 “지역과 연계한 디자인씽킹 교육은 학생들에게 미래에 꼭 필요한 창의적 문제해결력을 기르는 데 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 지역 학교와의 협력을 확대해 학생 중심의 실천 교육을 지속적으로 이어가겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu Health College and Gunwi High School held a ‘Design Thinking Project Presentation,’ where students directly identified problems within the local community and school life and proposed solutions.

Daegu Health College announced on the 16th that it held the ‘5th Community-Linked Design Thinking Problem-Solving Project Presentation’ in collaboration with Gunwi High School on the 14th at the school’s audiovisual room. Approximately 120 people attended the event, including officials from both schools, the Gunwi Education Development Committee, Gunwi County Office officials, parents, and students.

Sixteen 3rd-year students from Gunwi High School were divided into four teams and presented their research findings and solutions regarding various daily life issues within the school and community, such as improving school restroom environments, preventing jaywalking and raising awareness, ensuring safety on school stairs, and reducing hallway noise.

Using design thinking techniques, the students conducted on-site investigations, analyzed the problems, and generated creative solution ideas. Following the presentations, a free discussion session was held with education and administrative officials regarding feasibility and directions for improvement.

Daegu Health College supported students in identifying problems and concretizing ideas throughout the entire project process, implementing practice-oriented education to help students develop problem-solving skills, collaboration abilities, and communication competencies.

Yoon Young-soon, Director of the Convergence Liberal Arts Education Center at Daegu Health College, stated, “Design thinking education linked to the local community holds great significance in fostering the creative problem-solving skills essential for the future,” adding, “We will continue to expand cooperation with local schools to sustain student-centered, practical education.”
