【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=(재)행복북구문화재단이 대구문화예술진흥원의 ‘2026 문화예술교육사 현장 역량강화 사업’에 선정된 시민 참여 예술교육 프로그램 '식탁에서 피어난 색의 만찬'의 참가자를 27일부터 모집한다.

이번 프로그램은 식재료 및 폐의류를 활용한 천연염색과 업사이클링 예술 활동을 통해 자원순환의 가치를 배우고 직접 창작을 경험할 수 있도록 마련됐다.

교육은 8월 13일부터 10월 22일까지 매주 목요일 오전 10시, 행복북구문화재단 생활문화센터에서 총 10회에 걸쳐 진행된다. 대구에 거주하는 만 20세 이상 성인 20명을 선착순으로 모집하며, 수강료와 재료비는 전액 무료다.

참가자들은 양파껍질, 커피원두, 밤껍질 등 식재료를 이용한 천연염색 기법을 배우고, 염색한 천과 폐의류로 텍스타일 콜라주, 패브릭 오브제, 입체 조형물 등을 제작한다. 자원순환 전문가 초청 특강과 업사이클링 디자인 워크숍도 함께 마련된다.

교육을 통해 완성된 개인 및 협업 작품은 10월 19일부터 31일까지 어울아트센터 갤러리 금호에서 전시될 예정이다.

행복북구문화재단 관계자는 “예술교육과 환경을 접목한 이번 프로그램이 시민들에게 자원순환의 의미를 창작 활동을 통해 체험하는 기회가 되길 바란다”며 “문화예술을 통해 지역 주민들이 함께 소통하고 교류할 수 있기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

The Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation will begin recruiting participants on the 27th for "A Feast of Colors Blooming at the Table," a citizen-participatory art education program selected for the Daegu Arts & Culture Foundation's "2026 Field Capacity Building Project for Arts Educators."

This program is designed to allow participants to learn the value of resource circulation and experience direct creation through natural dyeing and upcycling art activities utilizing food ingredients and discarded clothing.

The course will be held over a total of 10 sessions every Thursday at 10:00 AM from August 13 to October 22 at the Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation's Community Culture Center. Twenty adults aged 20 and older residing in Daegu will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis, and tuition and materials fees are entirely free.

Participants will learn natural dyeing techniques using food ingredients such as onion peels, coffee beans, and chestnut shells, and will create textile collages, fabric objects, and three-dimensional sculptures using the dyed fabrics and discarded clothing. Special lectures by resource circulation experts and upcycling design workshops will also be held.

Individual and collaborative works completed through the education program are scheduled to be exhibited at Gallery Geumho in the Eoul Art Center from October 19 to 31.

An official from the Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation stated, "We hope this program, which combines art education with environmental awareness, will provide citizens with an opportunity to experience the meaning of resource circulation through creative activities," adding, "We look forward to local residents communicating and interacting together through culture and the arts."
